Yeah a chilly one at that!
After the last fiasco They can stick it where the sun doesnt shine
Buy 100 voucher off Zeek to save £3, use voucher codes to get £10 voucher back. Makes it bit more appealing.
£2.50 a month video plan. If you dont take it out you will end up with a very expensive wireless bell. £20 and upwards for video doorbell on Gearbest and no monthly charge.

I've been considering gearbest for a cheap alternative. Thanks for reminding me with the link.
However, if this ring one comes back again at under 20 quid, it'll be tempting not to bite...
Lol did Argos honour anyone who purchased at £19 or was it a mistake

And if anyone says they are made in China I would guess that the Ring units are aswell. Thats where all the technology is these days. Some are not waterproof so choose carefully.

Only a few who managed to collect from store as soon as they opened at 10am I received a cancellation email not long after. I’m sure someone posted a picture he managed to buy multiple units and collect them for £19 no doubt now on fleabay

You really don't need the video plan.

That just records video in the cloud for you. Without the plan it connects live just fine. Either for rings or if you want to view the camera live at any point.
OP rubbing salt into the wound... Not a bad deal but £19 is an even better deal

Exactly! That has never bothered me as I know what I'm willing to purchase from there anyways
oh not again.

I picked one just the other day. Wandered in, saw it was still showing 'in stock' and £19 on the terminal, they just overrode it without kicking up a fuss.

Haven't decided what I'm actually going to do with mine yet, as I didn't expect to actually get it

That's optional and only required if you want to record and store videos on their cloud. The 'normal' use is free, at least I've never been aware of the contrary.

Looks like you missed out because like many others you presumed wrongly that you have to pay to use the live video feature.

I must be one of the very few people who are capable of understanding how the subscription service works/what you are paying for.

Why do people like you make comments when they have noi idea what they are talking about ? And then to top it off more fools give you a thumbs up.

Defo don't buy one of these,it will be far too complicated for you to set up and work.

-448 says it all.Even if you dont pay the video charge this unit is ridiculously expensive. £19 was just about right. Save yourself a fortune and buy your Video Doorbell from Gearbest, Aliexpress, Bangood, etc

And what has what people have voted got anything to do with your incorrect information ?

I have purchased a video doorbell from banggood and I can tell you that it is nowhere near as good the ring doorbell,I know this as I own both. How many have you owned to comment ? I'm guessing not both as you gave incorrect info on the ring.

I ended up paying £130 for the ring doorbell and ringer as it was a far more reliable unit with no lag.I also purchased 8 of them for family when they were £19 on New Year's Day,not that anyone believes me,but hey ho.

What people are voting against is a ridiculously expensive item probably sourced from China for £5. At least the Chinese prices are more realistic and the products less pretentious than these Ring products. Like I said if the the Ring doorbells cost you £19 that was about right.

"I must be one of the very few people who are capable of understanding how the subscription service works"... such arrogance. Most people on HUKD are perfectly capable of understanding the video subscription arrangement.

Go and have a look at previous deals and nearly every time someone gets the wrong end of the stick and votes it cold because they say it is stupid to have to pay a subscription to make the device work.

Even on this deal 2 of you got it wrong ! Need I say more.

Good deal if you need the chime too.

Do you need the chime for it to work?
No. Without it you will still receive the phone/tablet/pc alerts.
But if you don't have your phone handy or battery is dead then you won't have any way of knowing if someone is pressing the bell.
