Do we have any decent alternatives of ring or nest bells like the Chinese ones where one can record the video on their own server rather than paying a monthly fee
GREAT DEAL!
Only purchase ring there is nothing else that would compare the quality
Why cold. This is a fantastic price. Heat
Decent price but Ring is an Amazon brand so I'd expect this to be bettered in the next few days. Last time they did some great bundle deals where you got the ring pro heavily discounted (£149 I think) with a free Echo dot (v3) or an Echo Show for £25.Not voting - just suggesting don't pull the trigger till you see what comes along at midnight.

The link you provided is for the non pro version. They are two very different models that differ in so many ways.
I have the pro as it's the only one that would fit on my door frame.
Heat from me, but as someone else said likely to get a lot cheaper on the 29th

Agree with you on the price that if you hold your horses for now, the price might be lower than this deal. But still, this is the best price for now until another come soon.

I do agree with that but do we put up deals today because its a good price or not bother at all as everything is going to be cheaper next week, next month . Makes the site pointless if that's how people vote , it should be here and now .

If they chuck in an echo I’m in! Good price though

Maybe there isn't anything that compares but even so I've had the Pro all year and had nothing but problems, mostly intermittent but seems to be varying problems virtually every day. Mostly because of WiFi dropouts I'm guessing tbh. My biggest complaint is I know for certain that it doesn't capture everyone that passes my front door (at least 50/60%) as I've actually been standing by window when people pass by and Pro does not alter me via chimes or Android phone via ring app. I've been onto ring live chat dozens of times but all they do is making up excuses, buts ifs and maybes but never anything that resolves my complaints. I've done everything I can and triple checked all troubleshooting with and without ring live chat support. I've even had the Pro replacement but made no difference. My WiFi signal is more than adequate strength. So other than get full refund I've run out of alternatives the latest problem is the ring app now has stopped giving me audible notification via my Android mobile, only get vibration, I've tried reinstalling ring app, triple checked all mobile phone settings and ring app settings to no avail, even ring live chat escalated me to higher level Tec support but they just kept going around in circles, must have been on live chat for almost two hours. They just as stumped as myself

You need a replacement of the device I know about 10 people with those and they work perfectly

That's interesting - a couple of thoughts - (i) how are you powering the pro - off the fuse board or with the breaker unit they provide or with a third party transformer (I'm doing the latter) and (ii) you mentioned decent wifi - is that in general or have you checked the RSI value and network check (under device help on the app). I'm on the pro and not had any of your issues. It might me worth sticking the app in "live view" for a few hours and seeing if any errors are reported.

3rd party recommend charger, I had 1 day were it reported low voltage but never since! RSI 63 but usually around 50, ring support have said it's healthy enough!

I'd be tempted to try another - even temporarily. I am using this one with no issues (unless you already use this one of course). No expert but I would put my money on wonky power
For what it's worth, better going for Ring original.

No battery included on here. Probably wont make a difference for most, but this requires wiring in. Battery one is more expensive
Cheaper on Amazon, £149 at the moment and includes echo show 5.
