Shame these folks don't sell pro model

what's the difference between ring 2 and the pro one ? as far as I can tell the only difference is that it records 24x7 is that right? and that it cannot run on batteries.

Could be wrong, but think it lacks the manual zone setting you do within the app itself. This for me would be mandatory as otherwise it would pick up too much passing traffic/street foot flow opposed to just my drive/pathway.

Size differs allot between the two too. Pro does not record 24/7 as still triggers on movement, but think it coming on & recording is more reactive then other models. Ring 2 does allow for hard wire too

thanks. can't decide which one to get. On the one hand the pro looks better and you pointed out some features that would be nice to have .. but for me I already have CCTV so that's not that important.. but being able to run for 6 months on battery is extremely useful to me since I don't really see any good way to wire up the pro without messy wires on show or costly install engineer. Just not sure what to do.

I did not want wires coming internally on mine either, but did have an floodlight outside already so power is tapped from there and using a transformer to output correct supply to camera using this: screwfix.com/p/b…07p. I have bit of a porch so had ample space to box and hide all this, might not suit your req. If you can live with wire, this is by far the easiest diy method: amazon.co.uk/Tra…126

TBH, If you going down battery route and have a doorpeep hole...this ones not bad either and lets you change batt from inside. specwise, think its the same as ring2: amazon.co.uk/rin…8-1

Also to add to what’s already been said the pro can run on 5ghz wireless as well as 2.4ghz.

I know thanks, I have one. You said that it was a “Similar price on costco for the pro version“ but it’s not.

But the pro at Costco is £160 so not similar price at all.
Code has expired...
In fact now they are saying you can't even buy it at the full price £150.
I need something like this but were I can log in me phone and see what's going on live . Plus records . Like a camera that fits in spyhole or just a camera can put in me hallway . Want know what going on when away.
