Never heard of this company

Nor had I, but I was searching forums and tech sites for PSU tier lists for my new build. This name popped up a few times, I researched into them and they look solid enough! This model is rebranded seasonic PSU apparently
Sure i remember reading although I could be wrong that they were formed by some former Corsair employees who wanted the same high quality to be sold cheaper.

Same tbh

I'm in need of a PSU right now, don't need much power (400> is fine) but I want something reliable which brought me to looking at this.

Same here the online calculator showed I was around 430Watts but I have a 2017 GPU. So I was buying a PSU with more room for the future. On that LTT forum you linked us, they have a [Old PSU tier list 2019] and on that list this riotoro enigma G2 is tier 1... Something has happened to knock their confidence but I read the posts sources and still couldn't find what it was yet

Thanks, I see what you mean. I didn't notice it was Tier 1 on their old list. I wonder why it's changed so much.

Hey man I did a bit more digging to find out if my new PSU was going to be a fire hazard I seen this discussion about components in the top comment in another hotukdeal: hotukdeals.com/dea…372

This post here monberg.dk/get…75& says that just safety ratings are with the 850W. I have been on the riotoro support website and the speciation sheets for both 650W and 850W don't list them. So I don't know where that reviewer found the information from - I am still looking for that 100% reassurance myself, sorry I can't be certain yet

Hey, interesting.. some of the people seemed knowledgeable on the forum but then again, it concerns me considering I doubt they actually even had their hands on half those PSU's.

I actually ended up buying this: scan.co.uk/pro…psu

Got free delivery since I needed to order something else anyways. It's going to be paired with a Ryzen 5 3400G, no GPU or extras so it should be all good?

uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ pop in the rest of your PC build and the website shows the estimated wattage. I think you're sitting pretty with the 350W as the Ryzen CPU is 65W. Hope this helps!

Thanks, estimated at 149W so plenty of head room. Should be more than enough for it's purpose!
Yes definitely and I'm very new to PSU best practices but I've seen these good 80plus gold ratings work well at 50ish% load so you have it very good! But please research that as I haven't learned even yet myself)

They also work well at the rated load, which is why they're rated at that load.

They can also spike above that number as they quote a sustainable average.
Isnt this the normal price?

Ebuyer had it on sale at this price a few days ago but they went OOS so I found this on CCLonline and posted it. Looks like a great deal price per spec
A bit cheaper here with Quidco if anyone is still looking: hotukdeals.com/dea…122
