This seems a good price for an in dash dvd player. although, you pay that much, it wont be as reliable as other known brands (which sell for 800+)
Last time this was posted here, there were talks of lots of faults and problems with it. Might be worth a search before jumping right in
I wont vote as from reading other threads, I'd rather save my money for something else.

i got this one, and have had it for a while, and tbh its cracking:thumbsup:

yeah i had the non touch screen one. and was very good!
Voted hot!

Not saying the unit isn't any good but you can get machines with better spec on the auction sites.

Bluetooth, usb, ipod, wmv and touch screen so calls can be made via the system itself and available as double din for around the £160 mark and buying the right model can get you a jvc clone.

Warm for me.

I thought this would do better

My local store has 12 of these, I would suspect the price will fall further soon.

Halfords were selling Ripspeed DV710 for ~ £157 in August. Ripspeed is Halfords own brand.

no mention or divx, xvid.
I did see one in lidl a couple of weeks ago with divx in lidl for £199

To go in the FRONT of the car??

Isn't that encouraging some rather dangerous habits?

Bad enough that I used to roll my fags whilst driving let alone watch a feature film.

There should be a device fitted to prevent use while in motion.

It will have a handbrake wire to stop you watching on the move but if you connect it to any negative feed it will be on constant :-D

Good deal but do you really want your window smashed by some crackhead as theres no removable faceplate !

lol, there is. the screen will only be activated if handbrake is applied. mind you, thats only if that particular wire is hooked up!

These are rubbish a few months ago you could get a refurb for £129 with 12 months warranty who in there right mind would buy a dvd player without removable face like was said earlier its every drug addits dream to see one of these (what maybe clarion/pionner/kenwood. Mind you when he got in your car and saw it was a Ripspeed he'ed probably feel sorry for you and leave it so you would only have to replace a broken window or ******ed lock not your stereo.

were it says face plate cover, does this just mean its like a piece of plastic what goes over it? will it even hide it or will it still b obvious its covered up by something

£249.99?

Now expired

My unit won't play DVD's even when parked up and handbrake is on. Any ideas how to solve?
