One of those "forgotton" films that should never be forgotton. A classic of British cinema and laugh out loud funny.:p:-D

if you have never seen it then invest 4 quid and have a laugh! :-D

fancy a jump?! :whistling:
The end is the funniest - them two in the bed (think it was man utd bed covers) lol

a classic from my youth, that i have never got around to adding to my collection. I will order now. Thanks

there was another film i remember watching quite similar to this.... again would have been shown on channel 4 after 12 when I stumbled across - anyone know it?
.... it was made in the 70/80s about a girl who was crazy and about 16 who constantly cursed and behaved badly. She used to say things like 'up yaaaa bum up ya bummmm!!! lol She gets a job on the buses and then gets preganant by one of her dads friends then leaves to work in blackpool and has the baby - but at the end comes back to shock everyone with the arrival of her baby. Anyone know what its called? If you dont - hell of a film lol

"Wish You Were Here." Thanks for reminding me . I love that film too. Just posted a cheap bargain of that DVD too. Another classic of the UK 80's cinema.
hotukdeals.com/ite…-de
By the way. Emily Lloyd, the actress, is the daughter of Trigger from Only Fools and Horses (Roger Lloyd Pack)

Best bit of this film is the dad walking down the street drunk!!! Fantastic, proper northern humour:-D

Banned

the old guy who played ( michelle holmes ) dad was the best character in it

Classic British comedy now on DVD. Great stuff

Same here. Class.

Love this film, I got it a while back of play.com well worth the money if only to have in your dvd collection. I love the bit where they're all having a row in the street and that old fella starts shouting of the balcony ha ha...classic!

Loving the oldies bringing back lots of memories :-D

I remember watching this at the cinema because we couldn't get into The Living Daylights LOL!

This film is sooo funny, well worth the money to have a good laugh. heat added.

Good film, but how £3.99 for a 23 year old film is a bargain it bemuses me.

Kinda good film, but £3.99 for an old low budget movie thats been on TV loads doesn't seem that hot a deal to me.
I remember watching them film this at the end of my street when I was a kid (yes I did live on that council estate!)

What estate is that? My wife thinks its gipton?

She loves that film by the way, its one of those films that no matter how many times you watch it, its still funny.

Well, what would be a bargain? Free? Just because a film is old doesn't mean it should be cheap. That's like saying well kept vintage cars should be priced next to nothing. What a silly statement!

I had totally forgotten about this amazing film. Subconciously probably one of the reasons I got into film making, a great classic, got all the elements of a good film. I just impulse purchased it to add to my library. Well done OP!

It's the Buttershaw estate in Bradford

Hilarious classic English film, nice one.

Rude, British Northern working class comedy/drama, good acting, good direction and very funny.
A refreshing change from Hollywood and a film that can be watched more than once.

Very true - I watched it when it first came out on VHS (1980's) and then again in December 2008 :whistling:

I think Black Lace made an appearance too singing Agadoo and some of their other "hits" when Bob went to a "do" with his wife and all hell broke loose.

The scene on teh moors with Bob in the car with one of them and the other telling her to hurry up as she can't wait is really funny. Even funnier is when it is her turn poor old Bob can't get it up and the look of disappointment on her face is hilarious.

Brilliant film - must order this. Was only thinking about it recently as I have seen Siobbhan Finneran in a couple of dramas on television recently - she is currently in Unforgiven on Monday night on ITV.

Best line of the film is when Bob's wife turns to him and says in a withering voice 'and you can make your own f*****g tea, Bob!' and then proceeds to flounce out of the front door with her friend, Fat Freda!

A great film...but has been given away free with newspapers a couple of times.

Voted Hot - Not just for the price and film quality - but also for Andywedge managing to extract every ounce of additional mileage from the films title, in his posting subject line!! Well done Andy!!

OH - the film never made it clear , but did the 2 girls ever drink from the fury cup ?

Wolf, I hate to dissapoint you, but they are really just two actresses and not really schoolgirls:p

yes !!! u may find it hard to believe, but a schoolgirl can and does … yes !!! u may find it hard to believe, but a schoolgirl can and does include 16 year olds !!!in spain , the age of consent is 12 , does that make them pedos then ??? ( think about it )

So Gary Glitter should have moved to Spain instead? I think Spain are reviewing the ages of consent due to the paedos that have descended on the shores.

Regarding the views on the subject matter of this film. My opinion is that the legal age of consent is more there to protect the younger generation from being exploited while their minds are still vulnerable to being coerced. I personally have no interest in girls or women under 18 but thats because 1. Im conditioned to think that way and 2. I as a man in his 30's relate easier with people of my own age. As far as using the word 'pedo' I think this country is too willing to label someone who has a young girlfriend that way. Ive known people of 30 going out with a 16 or 17 year old and theyve been branded a 'pedo' - thats ridiculous - 16 years of age is a legal age for such relationships. If two people meet and have something between them then why should the guy be labelled as a child molester if the girl is above the age of consent. We are guided by the tabloids far too much!!! Too willing to shout 'PEDO!' when there is no call for the word. Ok Ive vented my annoyance. Rant over.
