Roadrunner Records - Amazon Sampler - Free on amazon

Did a search to see there was one of these a couple of years ago or something, now amazon are giving away a Roadrunner Records Sampler featuring tracks from big names.

1. Psychosocial - Slipknot
2. Head Crusher - Megadeth
3. Pray For Villians - Devildriver
4. Sick Bubblegum (Explicit Album Version) - Rob Zombie
5. My Dark Place Alone - Murderdolls
6. Reckoning - Killswitch Engage
7. Mission Statement - Stone Sour
8. No Way But The Hard Way - Airbourne
9. Blind Man - Black Stone Cherry
10. A Rite Of Passage - Dream Theater
11. Rise Of The Fallen - Soulfly
12. Down From The Sky [Explicit] - Trivium

Available from Jan 1st.

{Edit} As if it's not simple enough to understand, just 'Add To Basket', DON'T click the individual track links or you WILL be charged for each track.

The album IS free, it says so in big red caps next to the image - Price: FREE
I or HUKD hold no resposibility for other peoples stup.. erm, mistakes

Also, not sure how long it will remain free for, so asking about an expiry date will result in "I don't know!"

noticed a 100 other free downloads on that page too

look at the song titles, they all sound pretty explicit and yet the song "down from the sky" is the only one that gets an explicit tag.?

Good sampler, worth the download just for Sick Bubblegum if you don't have it. Heat added.

I'm not really sure why it matters. Are you afraid of being corrupted? I don't really think many of these bands are known for their explicit content anyway (maybe Soulfly). I think these explicit tags just get named that way when there is a clean version being sold.

Actually, two have an explicit tag. Why do you assume the others are explicit though?

Downloading now - good selection of tracks

Love a bit of Rob Zombie so shall be giving this a download Really good find, thanks!

Yes Great Selection - purhased all the tracks and this was charged to my account - which triggered fraud dept blocking my card.
All the downloads were charged to my account and I will take this up with Amazon tomoz.
I would suggest if you downloaded this you check your statements.

Message from Amazon Ref This Download which is not underscore FREE !!!!!
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.
First of all, please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.
From your e-mail, I understand that you were charged for the tracks that you have downloaded but on the website it is stated that the said album was for free.
I will need to investigate this issue with the appropriate department further so that we can take appropriate actions to resolve your query. I will contact you again within 2-3 business days, by January 06, 2011 with an update.
Thank you for your patience and for bringing this matter to our attention.
Did I solve your problem?
Folks It's Your Call But I would not download this until Amazon Resolve not charging customers unless you want to pay for every track.

The album is free! I purchased it and have not been charged.

Did you click on the tracks individually and add them to your basket that way or something? The individual tracks have prices next to them but the full album says free. If you individually purchased each track that's not really Amazons fault ..

Yeap that's how I got the album without downloading the amazon installer.
Still very misleading and costly.
Can't see how you can advertise an album as free and then charge when you download the tracks from it from the same page one by one.
Certainly a trading standards case pending if not fully refunded. After all price Free should means Free whatever way you grab the album !!!! Thanks for your coments though.

I see what you're saying and I agree it's a bummer that you got charged for downloading something that you thought was free but I'm also pretty sure Amazon would be in the right if they came back and told you that the page tells you the cost of the tracks both as you're adding them to your basket and also as you agree to purchase them. Surely the fact that when it was in your basket showing it was showing that it was going to cost you X amount of money per track meant that you should maybe have refrained from agreeing to purchase them if you weren't wanting to pay that much for them? It does clearly state on the page at the top that the album is free but there are costs clearly listed per track :\ I think its one of those situations where you need to maybe hold your hands up and say "Oops, I didn't pay attention when I was purchasing this so I ended up getting charged for something that I thought was free. Bad times" and then learn from it rather than blaming Amazon ..

Maybe this needs to be added in on the top post for anybody else who may find it confusing .. don't purchase tracks individually as it will cost you kids!

It added to my basket then gave download option - didn't see the price for each track until emails after. I did notice the price by the side of the track but thought through the previous comments on Hot Uk Deals that it would not charge as shown as Free on the same page.
The only reason I posted this was to warn other readers that it is possible to get charged and get the bank to freeze your card as it does charge each time a small ammount for each track and show as luxembourg.
I'll resolve with Amazon tomorrow , they are a good company and I'm confident of getting a refund as this is very misleading. Free Should Be Free whatever way you grab the tracks.Yet again Thank You for Your Comments.
