I got mine for £62.50 but even at this price I would buy it again if need be. They are absolutely fantastic (my tap water tastes so bad I can not drink without it) and they all include free installation.

how much are filters tho and how long do they last

Filters are about £30-£45, they last a maximum of 6 months (well they say you should change every six months for hygiene), but depends on how hard the water is and usage. I do not live in a hard water area (but have chlorine in the water) so I expect mine to last me the full 6 months.

Actually the cheapest price for the filters is £45, and the Brita website says they last up to 3 months. Although this is a good idea, I'm not prepared take on an annual bill of £180. I'll just put up with the inconvenience of the standard water jug - at least I can keep that in the fridge!

Would love to have this but it is expensive if you have to change the filter every 3 months and more than likely that will be the case to get the best results. Still a great deal

Actually I gave a price range and it took me 30 seconds to find it cheaper than £45

amazon.co.uk/BRI…000

And actually if you read the website properly it states 3-6 months.

brita.co.uk/bri…ges

- Just looking a bit more the best deal I can see at the moment is from brita x4 for 135 - that would last me 2 years (it will be less for some people) £67.5 a year for me.

Benefits " environmently friendly" how? You are using a filter, probably made in China, shipped to the UK , then on roads.
Just say it tastes better job done. I use the britta jugs a nice cheaper alternative, but really tempered as I like gadgets.

My apologies, £160 a year, as long as Amazon are discounting them by a fiver!

Direct quote from the Ops website:

"BRITA Replacement Tap Filter Cartridge P1000BRITA P1000 cartridges reduce limescale, chlorine and other impurities for cleaner, clearer, great tasting hot and cold drinks. P1000 cartridges deliver BRITA filtered water for 3 months and an electronic cartridge exchange indicator tells you when to change the cartridge."

Think I'll still stick with the jug.

Looks cool. I like a gadget too!

And for the cartidges, you could get from Brita directly:

brita.co.uk/bri…ges

£140 for 4.

And on the website:

P 1000 cartridge
Cartridge performance in hard water areas (up to 8.5 dH):
1000 litres = approx. 6 months
Cartridge performance in very hard water areas (above 8.5 dH):
500 litres = approx. 3 months

The cartridges are now £34.99 each online at Robert Dyas. using the 15% off code drops them to under £30.00 each.
Just ordered three for just over £90.00 with delivery charge, so a little cheaper than Brita direct
