Looks ok
I steam veggies and cook rice many times a week. So this combo seems like a great idea!
This is a very small capacity rice cooker, I estimate it's suitable for 1-3 people, making it energy friendly too. My rice cooker is a large one and so I sometimes just end up cooking smaller quantities in a saucepan with a lid. This would be neat if I could afford the space for yet another kitchem appliance. Brilliant for students.

That's so longgggg (and yes, various pun connotations intended, lol).

If you're with a family, and (literally) need volume food making, then yes, rice over a stove is fine (hell, it's almost unthinkable to consider doing it any other way, even?). :-D

But though, IF you're flying solo, then ...

I personally can't see myself being arsed potentially spending hours watching rice cook over an open flame (no thanx).

But sticking it in a microwave cooker, and leaving 'science' to pretty much do alllllll the work instead?, well ...

The stove way of life isn't for everyone (which is perfectly fine), and the microwave way of life, isn't for everyone either (which is perfectly fine also). :-)

There's obviously both pro's and con's with whichever 'methods' you choose to cook your rice via (however you choose to look at it really?).

So what can we do?, lol.

Anyways, I rate those people that still have the tanacity to go at it the long hog with their rice upon an open fire/gas stove, etc (like that of how our parent's used to do it, from back in the Day). :-)

Good on you.
