Just about the best price around with free delivery, and a highly reputable seller too. The icing on the cake is the free, comprehensive, 6 year warranty that comes with it free of charge. £25 cheaper than John Lewis and with a much longer warranty.

The downside is that they're in short supply. Can't be ordered online, but can be ordered instore or over the phone - not too many left. Free delivery still an option though.

According to Which?:

The Revival iStream 2 is a Best Buy. In fact, it's the best radio we've tested in recent years. Why? Its feature rich, but easy to use, and sounds excellent across all music and audio genres. The internet functionality gives radio fans plenty to listen to.

"Great looks, great sound - it's got a royal warrant, and sure enough, this radio is fit for kings." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision, 5-star review.

Connect up to your home network by either ethernet or the built-in Wi-Fi and you've access to a whole world of music. With a choice of thousands of radio stations from around the globe, there truly is something for everyone. With easy searching via genre, finding the stations you might like is simple and, thanks to a 30 preset memory, recalling them is straight-forward, too.

This Roberts radio also has the advantage of offering Spotify Connect. Spotify Connect uses your existing Spotify account but seamlessly transfers it between sources. So, for example, you might be listening to Spotify on your mobile device then, when you arrive home, transfer it to the Roberts radio at the touch of a button! Wherever you use 3G or 4G, Wi-Fi or LAN, AirPlay, Bluetooth or UPnP, Spotify Connect simply keeps the music following - seamlessly.

Another great feature with the Roberts Revival iSTREAM2 is the ability to stream your own music. Download the Roberts ConnectR app (available for iOS and Android) and you can not only remotely control the radio but also stream music on other devices connected to your network, such as a laptop or PC. It's easy to stream music with the iSTREAM 2 and it will even cope with a wide range of files, including MP3, WMA, FLAC and AAC.

In addition to Internet radio and streaming, the Revival iSTREAM2 also offers DAB and FM wavebands. DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) gives access to the widest range of stations in the UK, in crisp and clear digital sound quality. In case your favourite stations aren't available in DAB, then the Roberts is also equipped with an FM tuner. Boasting RDS for station naming, this is almost as easy to use as DAB and still provides great sound quality.

Yet another highlight with the Roberts Revival iSTREAM2 is the USB socket. This connects to a USB media device and, like the DLNA streaming, works with a wide variety of file types, including MP3, WMA, FLAC and AAC. The Roberts not only has a headphone socket but also a 3.5mm output socket - perfect for plugging in a pair of more powerful active speakers or even your home hi-fi. There's a third 3.5mm socket that's an AUX input; ideal for connecting up your MP3 player or smartphone.

No one can do retro radio style as well as Roberts; after all, it was Roberts that produced radios that looked pretty similar to this way back in the 1950s! With its strap carry handle, solid, rounded case and mesh speaker grille, the Revival iSTREAM2 looks just as good in today's homes as it would have done in the '50s. Adding a touch of modern day bling, gold-plated fittings mark it out as a luxury product. Just as with the standard Revival versions, the iSTREAM can also be powered by mains or batteries (optional 4 x LR20, D size).

With its solid, wooden cabinet and powerful amplifier, the Revival iSTREAM2 has a more powerful and fuller sound than your typical portable radio. Especially good with speech but also surprisingly dynamic with music, listening to the iSTREAM2 is always a rich experience.

The finest combination of old and new, the Roberts Revival iSTREAM2 gives the portable radio a whole new lease of life.

Just a word of advice to anyone wanting one of these - you'll probably need to order from one of their stores. There's a very limited supply in stock, with a smallish number (too small to make available online) arriving in the warehouse soon.

They've been sold out in most stores for some time (it's been a big seller at this price, probably because it's one of the best prices around) but they can order it in for you to collect. Or they'll arrange for it to be delivered to your home free if you prefer.

And for anyone wanting to use the BBC 'listen again' feature, it's up and running again following a recent firmware update.
Cold - this isn't a deal.
Oh yes it is! ☀️
