Argos are selling the Roberts Stream 202 radio for £98.99. It is out of stock for mail order, but there are a few available in store. I tried searching for stock in ~ 40 stores and found them in stock in 5 of them (Great Yarmouth, Peterborough Queensgate, Stamford, 2 at Milton Keynes and Bedford Interchange).

This radio uses the Frontier Silicon's chipset. You get an internet radio, as well as DAB and FM tuners. It will also stream music from a PC or network attached storage.

From what I have read, it has a decent reputation for sound quality, and ease of use. There are two issues - it doesn't display meta data that is broadcast for things like the track names that are being played. It will play BBC Listen Again programs. However, you can't pause and restart them, or fast forward and rewind. You have to start listening from the beginning.

The normal cheapest price for this radio is ~ £130.

I think they are clearing stocks as Frontier Silicon are introducing an updated model (the Venice 6.2 chipset), supposedly in the next couple of months. This will let you stop and restart BBC Listen Again broadcasts, and FF & rewind them.

wouldnt touch a roberts radio anymore as their radios are so unreliable.....have had 2 for about a year......one is currently being replaced for the 3rd time, the other for the 2nd....not good for a basic dab radio alarm clock....service so far has been pretty good tho

also bought another expensive clock radio £100+ and it was rubbish as the radio volume for the alarm couldnt be adjustment and was very loud

had a pure one radio for 2 years and its been faultless

however this radio looks nice tho, better than the fuddy duddy wooden look ones

You must have been really unlucky, as Roberts are one of the most reputable brands out there. My Roberts radios have worked perfectly.
