Robertsons classic mincemeat 411g & Asda Ready to roll sweet pastry 300g (with tins in lid) from in the same aisle (NOT chilled or frozen) £1.50 at Asda

Noticed this deal in their magazine, but was not advertised strangely in our local store (Items just had a star on the shelf edge label!). When I enquired I was pointed in the right direction.

Saving you 99p by the way!

Mincemeat £0.91
Pastry £1.58

No excuses now. Get the mince pies made!

Call me a cynic, but unless you're actually going to make your own pastry mincemeat, is it not easier just to buy the mince pies ready-made?
Might be nice for the kids though, to 'make' mince pies without me having to do too much work!

It is easier to buy mince pies, without a doubt - But for kids, homemade mince pies for the big fella are a must!!! :santa::):santa:

Very true!

I make these and they are amazing - bbcgoodfood.com/rec…ies

No shop bought one comes even close. I do use bought mince as if you make your own you make too much but the pastry is the best and I fill them to the brim unlike the nice pocket of fresh air you pay for in bought ones:thumbsup:
