Buy them one of these, and they can make their own

curiousminds.co.uk/pro…70e

Make sure you don't give ur kids too much! it's so acidic. It ruined my teeth as a youngster so I look after them extra now

Another item that's 1 pound at poundland!!!

Sorry, cold...this type of stuff is quite regular at poundland.

"Sorry, cold...this type of stuff is quite regular at poundland"

So why does that make it less of a bargain?

have you tried this orange? its gross. Sends my son cuckoo!!

of course a price of £1.00 isnt going to be a suprise when its being sold by a £1 shop! The point that our honorable fellow is making is that this is a deal because its significantly more expensive elsewhere i.e Tesco £2.80 (Tesco - every little helps - i am sure it does Mr Tesco (in your bank not ours)

If this is regular then so what - a hot-uk-deal!!!! :whistling:

On that note nothing can be a good deal in poundland as it all a pound, jesus ;-)

It still a good deal cheaper than everywhere else

That is true, in a way I don't dispute that it's a good deal but it's not really what I call an amazingly fantastic deal - especially since the vast majority of poundland's stuff is foreign imports (nothing too wrong with that, just some of it is a bit dodgy).

What's hot or not is subjective I guess, this has to be one of the first times I have disagreed with the majority but for me it's just not hot

(on hinessight, "warm" would have been a better vote - i forget about warm for some reason...)

Try the Special R stuff instead. We found that Morrison's own brand sends our kids hyper, yet Robinson's is fine. Strange eh?

Less sugar. Seems to do the job for us, but if its other additives causing it, then I'm not sure it will help.

Adding water helps :whistling:

Ahhhh thats where I've been going wrong, just been adding Red Bull:whistling:

Thanks I'll give that a go.

Mixing with Rohipnol gets them off to sleep with no problems.

nothing to do with sugar, its the additives used. i pay more for things that contain sugar rather than sweeteners!

also, note that this stuff contains aspartame, which i wouldnt touch with a barge pole. do a few searches for it and you can read about it yourself.

Less "real" sugar.

I wouldn't touch Type-R or "no added sugar" due to the amount of artificial sweetners and god knows what else they add to it. Have you ever read the ingredients to the "no added sugar" ones?

Normal / Real sugar only for me - better in the long term

(seems me and andyroo agree then)

i work in a poundland, and have been meaning to register and keep people posted on things for a few weeks now lol.
we dont have any of that in our store. its not a offer thats in every store at the moment.
probably more the bigger ones. but we only got a little amount in and it went quickly as you can imagine so elsewhere may be having the same.

id like to point out 5 1/2litre bottles of 7up for £1 lol

At least my kids will have nice teeth!

I drink the no added sugar squash myself and have never had any problems
I also have no fillings great sucess.

Yes, perhaps the system is to blame - hot or cold - thats it! Just like right or wrong, no "if's" or "buts" or "warm"... in this case anyway.

haha
well we get it from a distributor that does all poundland stores in around here. i have no idea where they get it from

You have to imagine a Michael Caine accent - "aspartame started life as ant poison - not many people know that!

Ah an insider. :-D is the 7 up had been pepsi or coke, I may have gone and got some.
Cal8889, does poundland give its staff any sort of discount? Such as 20% off all the products? If so you would be getting quite a few bargains!:-D

Thanks bellows for the OP and although this is just a normal poundland deal as discussed and is nothing amazingly hot :!: - for someone who has lots of children or wants to stock up on this sort of item, this would be a really useful post, so although not the best ever deal on the site, thanks for taking the time for posting. I haven't drunk orange squash in ages, but Im going to get a bottle now (not from poundland unfortunately - we don't have any near me!) but nether the less, its made a difference to my life!! Happy Monday everyone

Great stuff to give your kids if you want to poison their bodies!

Yeah, because parents really want to do that

Its a good deal and voted hot from me. No adverse effects on either of my kids too - they also eat sweets, meat & crisps! Although not at the same time...

Of course the other additives are probably aspartame, which causes stomach cancer.

But hey, it's your kids, I don't care about them.

mminghella;1539885

Actually Diet Coke is worse for your teeth than normal coke.

Normal coke just wears down teeth, Diet coke pokes holes in them.

Aha, but my kids don't drink diet coke, so its 1 - 0 to me

Dudley, if I give you 50p, will you go to the shop and buy a sense of humour? The thread is about whtehr or not it is a good deal, not the merits or problems of food additives. Unlike me, you seem to have a bit of an issue with this and your comments seem really quite rude and aggressive. But hey, that's life and as you quite rightly say, they are my kids and I do know best.

haha i wish.
nah no staff discount. but then i cant really complain. its only £1 lol

Lets put things in to perspective. Kids need to drink - plenty to keep them hydrated. Flushes the kidneys and all that. In an ideal world they would drink water. But it aint an ideal world. SO if parents (of which I am one) want to give them WEAK, diluted squash whether with or without sugar so a quid for a big bottle of squash is a GOOD DEAL. So all you do gooders get off your high horse LOL
