I was looking for long for a discount both in my country and international. This, i think is a great deal since it offers a 3 year warranty for a robot vacuum reviewed by many as the best of the best in his price range. Thought i should share.

Great product, good price.
Voted hot but can't decide if i should buy this or the s6.
🏿
Would not recommend buying expensive electronics on AliExpress. You have almost zero buyer protection/consumer rights and if they ship from outside the EU you're liable to pay customs/VAT on top too.

If you've got a lot of hard floors them this is probably the better buy for the bigger water tank and pumped water rather than gravity drip. I have the S6 it has a faster processor (probably doesn't make much difference), bigger dust bin and quieter. Just remember that the mopping is no more than running a damp microfiber across the surface. Great machines though.

So the mop isn't like a steam mop? And can it sense the difference between carpet and hard floor so it knows when to mop?

No not like a steam mop. On the S6 you can define no mop zones so on the s5max I assume you can do the same. On the S6 to mop I attach the mopping attachment and set the unit down in the place I want it to mop and press the button. I'm sure the procedure will differ slightly for the s5max as the water tank is integrated.

I have wood floors (which obviously can't be mopped) and carpets. Only have 2 small area of tiles (bathroom and en suite) so the mopping function isn't a massive thing for me. I just like the fact that it changes the suction for different surfaces.

Yep I think the S6 and probably a few other models have can change suction for carpets. Loads of videos on YouTube.. check them out.

Same procedure for the S5 Max. Love mine as you can tell it where not to mop.

One thing I’ve noticed is that if your robot needs to travel across a no go zone to get to where you’ve told it to mop- they won’t go at all as they know they have the mop unit attached. Might be common sense to some but I hadn’t considered that
Bought one. AliExpress protect for 15 days on delivery and then there is a 3 year warranty with the seller who has been on the site since 2011 and sold 100s of these.

Should be about as ok as it gets from AliExpress.
there's a consistency to many of the negative reviews of this seller that concerns me: aliexpress.com/sto…WRZ

And on the subject of the warranty, I spotted this in the neutral reviews: "Generally product is good, however contact with the seller - tragic. I asked for proof of purchase (e.g. invoice), in case warranty. Seller promised to send it, but then ignored all messages!".

By the way this is the second time that this product offered by the very same seller has been posted here on hukd in the last week. Both times the poster has been a completely brand new user here (the deal posted the 1st time was deleted by staff for not abiding by the rules). This might be a coincidence, but it might not...
See what happens, can do chargeback or refund if I don't like what I get.
Great product, paid extra for mine from Amazon to be covered for issues but great price
Was going to get one of these, but don't need mopping, so went for the Neato D650 which seems to have most of the same features for £350 from Amazon.
It's great.
Thanks for sharing @stavri

Did you buy this from Amazon directly? Otherwise the warranty is about as worthless as the one from AliExpress. If you did buy from Amazon, could you provide a link please?
Not quite but it was from a Amazon prime seller - which is basically gives you the same rights as buying for AZ direct that's no quibble 12 months free return for faults (immediate refund or replace). At the time it was an extra £75 to buy from Amazon with free next day postage. I personally thought it was worth the extra £££

How do you get that price? I think the deal is expired.
Well, i sure hope many of the readers got the deal. Mine arrived in Greece, exactly, a week after i placed the order. This machine is a dream come true!!!!!!! Does everything as it promises. I am in love!!!!!
Avoid Aliexpress and these dodgy sellers, I lost 400 quid, Ali closed the dispute of undelivered item in favour of seller. The seller used a forwarded shipment, so when it was marked as received in German centre, Ali used that as evidence I received the item...
I hope I will get more luck with a chargeback.
