I bought a roboreptile last year which performs badly on carpet ... my biggest gripe is cost of batteries.

Good luck with this one - I for one will be avoiding this from past experience.

The Maplin site says "The Robosapien V2 can only take alkaline batteries, not rechargeable". If true then it could be expensive to run - Can anybody confirm whether this is the case?

THis has gone up to £79.99 now.

My son got one of the other ones last year. Utter ****.Only been on about 3 times!!!
