That's a damn good price! Roccat make some pretty quality stuff, besides their headsets... they aren't that great.

Yea I'm not paying out for a board, saw this and thought it was awesome for the price

Reviews at the RRP of £80 seem solid so this looks like a steal. Wonder if they'll also allow 10% NUS discount on Click and Collect. Thanks very much OP!

20 miles away is the nearest in stock.

Is the keyboard decent or can i survive with my membrane hybrid

For 30 beans and someone that's never used more than a standard stock keyboard its awesome.

Fantastic timing, reserved one.

Thanks, bought one.

Brilliant, been after a new keyboard, can't believe how cheap this is, reserved one each for me and a friend!

Brown TTC switches, not Cherry MX.
But at £30, this is not really a problem.
Very good price.

Looks good, got one reserved.

Thanks for Posting.

Thanks, reserved one for work

bought the last one from 4.2 miles away:)!
Will replace my Logitech G410, which was drowned into water by my 1 year old son...still working though:)!

Has anyone had a response/confirmation about their reservation from maplin yet?

No and I'm not driving the 17 miles till I do lol

Just picked mine up absolute bargain, TY OP.

Just picked mine up - didn't receive a ready confirmation email though - I just popped in on the way to work and sure enough they had it out back for me. Non on display though....

In fact typing this review on it now. Loving it.

Is this your first mechanical?

It is - i'm replacing my good old MS Sidewinder gaming keyboard which is a bit of a legend. Been using it for about half and hour or so now and its great. Really nice "finger feel" lol. A tad noisier than my old one but not too bad... its not like a microswitch click sound or anything...

Great.
Yeah that sound will be the key bottoming out.

I just got my confirmation number at checkout and went down to the store and they had it out back. Didn't receive a confirmation mail so just a heads up.

Had confirmation number but no follow up email saying it was ready for pickup.

Got a call from the store saying their reservation system had issues but it's ready for pickup

So probably worth calling them up to check

Got one but my box was already open so I probably got a returned one.

didn't wait for confirmation, just shown up at the store, the keyboard was already reserved to my name, easy, the guy claimed, took the first one off from the offer start, he said, solid build and quality, best buy.
This is not my first mechanical, and my experience is, the build is solid, this is definitely not a 30 pounds amazon mechanical:)! The brown TTC switch is surprisly enjoyable. Not too loud.

Got mine today and typing on it now.

Cons:
I don't like that you have to use the software in order to change the lighting.
I don't like the blue lights. Wish they were white.
Cannot detach the USB cable.
Key Caps come off too easily.
Feels quite plasticy.

Pros:
It's dirt cheap.
The ttc brown switches feel different to genuine mx cherry browns, but in a positive way (i.e. I like the feel of the key presses).
Frameless design makes this look very sleek.
Decent backup to my superior Coolermaster keyboard

For the price paid (£27.10 with discount) it is a bargain.
I would not use this as my primary keyboard, but it's really good as a backup, or as an intro to mechanical keyboards; a stepping stone to better ones should one desire.

Highly recommend purchase.

So now I have 4 mech keyboards this one is quieter that my Corsair RGB70 with MX Browns, and you can really feel the difference compared to a dome\membrane keyboard.

Can't believe the quality for £30, if your'e still on the fence about getting one then take the plunge as it's well worth it.

Never got the email about the reservation either, I just turned up at the shop when they opened and it was ready for me, Maplin can be expensive sometimes but the staff are really helpful.

Thanks again OP.

For £30 I bit, ordered and picked up within half an hour. Using it now..

Cons:
Jeebus it's small, everything about it has been shrunk, seriously. Every key is smaller than a 'normal' keyboard, all the keys are very close together.
OMG the lighting is bright, and BLUE, I said BLUE. Thankfully you can turn it off using FN+PrntScr
Space bar..spring mechanism makes it bloody noisy. [some people wont care about the noise, I think its annoying me because its the only key that has a spring therefor it makes a different noise when pressed, it genuinely feels cheap.]
Did I mention it's small?...

Pro:
Looks damn nice, I think there are 16 light settings you can cycle through using FN+PrntScr, once you find the right level it looks like a quality keyboard.
Its actually really comfortable to type on, I've not had a chance to game on it yet but typing is a pleasure [bar the spacebar noise].
Solid build and nice weight to the board, doesn't move about the table at all. I like that in a keyboard, when I seen how small this keyboard is I had instant regret buying it, 1hr of use and it feels like I've had it years.

Is it worth £30? Yes, will the spacebar break? Yes, its too flimsy for the abuse a spacebar gets.

For those that are sensitive to noise, beware, it IS noisy and anyone who says otherwise must be deaf [or noise isn't an issue, ie. gamer wearing headphones, someone who stays alone, etc].

Heat added. For £30, I think I'll get use out of it at work, thats for sure!!

Head added, will give this a punt. Got my niece to go collect it from a lincoln store for me!

Your review is really contradicting, I honestly can't tell if you love or hate the keyboard. Plus half the things you mentioned as cons are normal features of a mechanical, blue gaming keyboard.

Not bad, but for 7 quid more I'd get the Turtlebeach Impact 500 - legit CherryMX switches! It is a TKL, but I believe the other models are non-TKL.

Picked mine up last night. Never received a confirmation Email.

I've got a Corsair K65 at home but wanted a mech keyboard for work. Picked this up as I didn't want to spend too much for a work keyboard.

Pretty happy with it. Looks good, and the keys feel good to type on. Certainly worth the £30 to get rid of the crappy rubber Dell keyboard that I was using previously.

I've turned the back lighting off, as it looks a bit silly in the office

I don't think it's mega noisy, but as always it does depend on how hard you bottom the keys out. You can always get some O rings if it's an issue

No stock near me but while looking I saw they're selling the Razer Blackwidow Tournament Edition Mechanical Gaming Keyboard for £39.99 (down from £79.99, in store only)

keyboard looks cheap that you find on ebay for £10-15

They seem to have gone up in price now, but they were 37 quid currently 42.87 on amazon; amazon.co.uk/Tur…500

I currently have one as my daily (have a Pok3r, and a Ducky Shine 3 Year of the Snake #993/999), with doubleshot blue/white's 32246829-TSKPL.jpg
Great little keyboard!
