Rock Band 3 Wireless Pro Drums & Cymbal Pack £25 @ HMV

29
Found 30th May 2011
RRP of £119.99

They were reduced to £95.00, but I found them today in HMV @ The Fort Birmingham for £25.00.

Looks to be Xbox 360 only, couldn't see any for the PS3.

Add another layer of authenticity to your rock experience with the all-inclusive Wireless Rock Band 3 PRO-DRUM & PRO-CYMBALS Kit. With four durable drum pads and a metal-reinforced kick pedal; the drum kit can withstand strikes from the most enthusiastic drummers. Velocity-sensitive drumheads respond to the force exerted on them and their sound-dampening properties help ensure you donâ?TMt wake the neighbors during those late-night jam sessions. A height adjustable stand lets you customize your layout and the included wooden drum sticks impart a real-life feel to videogame rocking.

PRO-Cymbals provide the means for you to drum like the pros with velocity-sensitive Crash; Ride; and Hi-Hat cymbals. With the easy-to-install mounting brackets; you have total control and can set up your drum kit in any configuration you see fit. Boasting several improvements over the Rock Band 2 version; notable upgrades include a 10-degree strike angle; full rubber construction for quieter drumming; superior response and performance; and Pro Modeâ?"a remarkably authentic interpretation of playing real instruments in Rock Band 3â?"compatibility. shame i'm not going to get to a hmv until the weekend now :-( hot hot hot!
The store I bought mine from (Fort Birmingham) had 5 sets left on show.

how well does this work with Guitar Hero?
How big and heavy is the box for these.
Will I be able to carry them on my bike?

edit: never mind, don't have a 360 any more, but will hope they have ps3 ones

Don't quote me on Rock Band but the Guitar Hero games have come to the end of thier run. The DLC will probably not be getting new content too but the content already available will probably plumet in price too.

You need to expire this deal. Just rang HMV at The Fort in Birmingham and the manager said it was a store-specific deal, they only have one set left for the 360 (none for any other machine) and there are five or six people on their way for this last set right now. So if you've set off, you need to hurry as only the first one there will get it...and if you haven't set off, you've missed it.
I want this for some reason, despite the fact I play RB3 with my Alesis DM5 kit...

I asked in Middlesbrough store, the guy knew about the offer but said only a few stores have stock, although he said Oxford Street have a massive supply and are hording them.
If you can't find one, the basic 360 4-drum RB set is still cheap at The Hut (£12-odd inc P&P at time of writing)

If you're new to 'play drums' like these, the cheaper set might save you some frustration because between the hassle of setting-up, the noise and the fact it's a LOT harder than the guitar, a lot of people don't get far with them.

Works with all RBs and GHs which support drums AFAIK (GH will drop it's 5th note for this kit).

Here's a question (probably a stupid one) but does anyone know if these can be used on a PC with modded drivers etc so can be used as a USB drumkit for use with music software such as Drum Kits From Hell and so on??

Pads and Pedal: Yes

Cymbals: I'd assume so, but might not be as easy...
This will go nice with the Pro Fender I got last week. Hope there are some left in London!
Been in tonight- definitely all gone!
Still try your local HMV though guys..

I went in today and got the Pro drum kit and a guitar hero wireless guitar....... for £3 each! Not £30.. £3!

Best deal I've had in a while.. they said they are "obsolete stock so getting rid of them cheap"

Wow....

RB3 game is currently £15 in HMVs, and the RB Keyboard is £45 down from £75.

My disappointment with the keyboard, though, is that on the non-Pro modes you only use 5 white keys. You can use the same 5 an octave lower to play with your left hand, but that's it. In Pro mode you have to move around the keyboard. But the difficulty gap between the two is pretty big.
