Was looking to buy this before Christmas but got put off by the high price! but now its come down substantially.

Still expensive, but much better than it was originally

That's tempting...

Hmmmm

Is this official? I note that it's made by madcatz who are typically a third party supplier, but unsure if they've teamed up with harmonix for this?

Yes, Mad Catz are Harmonix's official instrument partner for this release

Great, thanks for confirming!

Good post. This should be smoking hot as the best I can find is around £160.

Thanks OP. Off to purchase. You will be held accountable for my wifes rage when I get home!

Heat added!
Is the Guitar Hero guitar controller compatible with this set?

yeah. Personally prefer GH Live

Got this yesterday as can't see it being much cheaper for a while. Heat added. Nice find op.

Buy 13 Curry's/PCW £10 gift cards from Morrisons, get 13p off a litre of fuel.

Nice price but no stock within 60 miles.

still a ripoff...

You are right. Bought that set just before Xmas (and an extra Pro Drums set), but returned it just after a couple of days (still can't do that with Pro Drums bought directly from Mad Catz Store - they are just rubbish when it comes to returns oO).

Anyway, the quality of fun with Rock Band 4 is ok until you try to play real drums (even without PS4 plugged in). I did and the difference is just massive. After that I was advised by my musician friend to return that plastic 'stuff' and buy a used, *electric* drums you can find some of them on eBay (same price) and easily plug it to PS4 as well. Didn't do that yet because changed my mind when it comes to playing drums.

I a word, do yourself a favour, skip that plastic set, find a friendly musician that play both drums and PS4 and ask for some advice what kind of electric set of drums you should buy. And don't do that on your own because you may not have an idea what to choose (and most likely you don't if you want to buy that plastic toy set :p).

Yep, not much a piece of advise from myself, I know, but at least you know where to start digging. Good luck!

Very interested in this, but no idea where to start.

any idea which kits work? Also, what do you need to do to make it compatible? Is it plug & play?

Cheers!

As far as I know it should be quite plug and play. Let me find out some more details and in the meantime feel free to send me a PM.
