Great price, this should get hot.

takes up to 14 1/2 stone.

VERY tempting.

Or a POLICE bike for £209.

tempting, but where can you ride this thing?

Hmmm... the wife has been complaining about her invalid scooter getting stuck when she goes off the pavement.

So tempted to buy one of these....

Are these really much different from the road legal quad bikes I've seen driving about my area?

Is there any way you could have them modified to make them road legal?

They are the usual Chinese minimoto-modified machine. They're fine for what they are, but very expensive. I used to buy these and mini-motos in and sell them on ebay. About 5 years ago you could get them for around £125. They're okay, but be prepared to do lots of maintenance on them. Bolts fall off all of the time, and whenever I had one for myself, I used to undo every bolt and redo it, and anything that was critical I would stick a bit of loctite on.

Good for a bit of fun, but beware, the police have made it very difficult to ride these legally in anywhere but private land. You can't take them down the park or you would risk getting booked.

You could never realistically register this as a road-going vehicle, and neither would you want to. They are very small and you'd get about 20-25 mph out of it, untuned and about 15 up a hill.

Fun, but a big toy, nothing more.

Kids topic?

dangerous, no thankyou!

Yeah ok price but about the norm for these - loads at this price on ebay (new)

Irresponsible parents go for it, let your kids ride illegally, plenty do.

Calm down! For those who have land or access to some no one will be breaking the law.

2 stroke puts me off. A good Suzuki 4-stroke though is £500 plus, so cheap entry... be interested to hear how people get on though.....

Come to Liverpool, you can ride them along the pavements at full speed and the police wont say a thing! Doesn't even matter if there are young children playing in the street.
Seriously, these should not be on sale to irresponsible morons, as much as i love quad bikes. Im not against them but they can be very dangerous in the wrong hands.

I used to live by this big fat woman who was perpetual a benefit claimant, every day out of bed at 11 to sit in the front in her PJs with an ever lasting fag hanging from her bottom lip. She got her kids a quad bike like this and it basically ruined life on our street, all the little kids stopped playing out, my elderly neighbours where terrified of being knocked down.

I asked the big fat layabout to stop her offspring driving on the pavements, she laughed in my face and told me to '**** off'. So i called the police, they did sod all, told me they are not allowed to chase people on motorbikes. Phoned them again and persuaded them to knock on her door and have a word, they did. Few days later her vermin offspring shot one of my windows in with an air rifle, if i had kids i would have torn the little **** apart. But i let them continue shooting my windows, phoned the police again who sent a rather large armed response unit around, much to my amusement. The chavs faces where priceless, jaws on the floor and hands in the air!

Can you please clarify whether you voted hot or cold?

I'd be wary letting my kids ride a quality quad, certainly not one of these death traps.

So true... cold. These things should be banned. Terrible nuisance round the area I work in = chavs will love them.

this is about the going rate for these, not particularly hot...build quality is rubbish as you would expect and they aren't going to last very long.

Yeah takes me back used to knock out minimotos on ebay 7 years ago used to get away with charging £450 for similar ones to this http://www.activeimports.net/images/products/gs801b.jpg

made stacks of money. and then everyone and their mum started selling them and bought the prices right down. fun while it lasted used to get grief from customers when they used to go wrong and they went wrong all the time.

only problem with these is you have nowhere to ride them.

Would i let my little boy ride one? No way! It's Chinese made tat.

The seller is bringing this in for around £80.
So the manufacturer is putting this together AND making a profit on £80.
So you can imagine the workmanship and more importantly components.

How big are they, good to get a sense of scale with a young adult on it?

Would be quite useful if small enough to fit into the back of the car, but big enough get around on.

If you wish to murder your children, quad bikes is the way to go. Children have little or no sense of danger and the parents who purchase these things are to 100% to blame for the dozens of deaths each year that result.

Cant see the top speed . Anyone know pls?

Wouldn't deal with this company again. Product I got was very poor, lots of excuses and luckily I payed with paypal as I had to claim to get my money back a month after I returned the item.

Where can you ride these? Straight into a crusher ....

no spoiler and no nitro system... cold

Sorry posted again by mistake.

I wouldnt think of putting these on the road! As has been said - lots of fixing to be done!

Would be ideal for a small child to learn on, but dont expect it to last through lots of abuse and mud, you will forever be fixing! Put an adult on this and it will most likely snap!

I work with children and train them to ride Quads. So long as it is done safely and they are taught to respect the machinery then it is pretty safe.

That is a fairly daft comment. Same as saying teenagers shouldnt be able to drive as they would kill themselves! I have taught thousands of children and adults to ride quads. I race them at weekends. The problem is that most people would buy a quad, no safety equipment/protection or training and then do not run them in a suitable place - IE on a track which is marshalled.

The bad press that occurs to be fair is really harsh. I have worked with a chap that promotes quads, his first thing is SAFETY FIRST. Helmets on at any time a quad is started, full equipment must be worn!

What a lot of people dont realise is that getting a child riding a quad in the RIGHT environment will actually go a long way to help them with numerous things.

1. Confidence in themselves
2. Ability to judge corners and dips and different conditions.
3. Most likely more responsible when they become older when they get on the road as it should give them an idea of being sensible with equipment like cars or quads etc.
4. Also in having a quad it also helps them learn responsibility - if they do something that breaks it then they remember not to do it again. Ride it more gently and there is less to go wrong!

/Rant Over!

Anyhow, I really wouldnt touch one of these. Parts will be hard to get hold of, there will be lots of sharp edges and problems by the bucket load!

Gah. Don't sell these as the local chav scum will be tearing up the park on them..

Although the police thankfully do chase after them, at 60 MPH, down the bin alleys behind my house, right by all the blind alleys..

When you hear the sirens, you dive over a neighbours back wall as the cops blast past. What a nice area

Yep - I believe in natural selection too (but NIMBY!).

Death traps on wheels. Most of these come no where near meeting uk safety standards.

Look at the price you know it's going to fall to bits and be a death trap.

The sad thing is the pond life gypos buy these things for their kids and risk death and or serious injury on their own children and others.

Like the mii Moros ruin parks and other public places. Thankfully during the mini moto craze the police in our area simply used there powers to seize and crush this sort of thing on sight so thankfully we never see them anymore.

I'd love to think it was police action but I bet they just broke down.
