Been posted a few times recently, but looks to be back in stock. Might be useful to someone, apart from those of us with a PS4 Slim

Good price. Hot. I managed to get this a quid cheaper in early Jan. They sold out quickly.
Good price, this is becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of

Note that the Real Tone cable is universal, so if you already have one from a last-gen version of the game you don't need another
Anyone know if its possible to get an acoustic guitar to work with this? or is it just electric guitars only?

Yes, you can use an acoustic, but you obviously need a USB microphone for the console to "hear" what you are playing.

Or alternatively a clip on pickup can be used.
Always tempted to get this to play on my downstairs tv but I have a lot of DLC on the pc version.. .

If you don't know there is so much DLC available for this now! Pretty much makes this the definitive version as any new one wouldn't really make sense as it would be the same gameplay. Of you can't find a ton of great stuff in here then maybe guitars aren't for you

Does this not work with PS4 Slim?

Unless I'm unaware of something it does. Why do you ask?
As I mentioned in the description, the lack of an optical output on the Slim causes huge latency (sound delay) issues with the other sound output options available. Worth a Google before you buy

Ideally you need to output your audio via Optical rather than HDMI, otherwise lag between playing a note and hearing it makes the game borderline unplayable. PS4 Slim doesn't have an optical out
A few years ago I paid this price for it, with the cable. I also bought a Yamaha electric guitar, which came with amp and stand and bag.

The game is still sealed in the box, and the guitar is a great shirt stand.

Does this work, is this an easier way of learning to play? I keep saying I'll use it, but never get around to it. Like the thousand DVD's and Blu-rays still sealed.
I think TomLC is commenting on OP's text.

This software is highly sensitive to audio lag (You need to see/hear the sound at exactly the same time as you see/hear it on-screen. Any delay is very off-putting). The better way to connect this is HDMI>TV/Amp for video and audio via optical out, which I believe was removed from the PS4 slim.

Some people will experience a lot of lag, some not much at all. Depends on connections to amp/TV and any extra processing performed on the audio channel by amp/TV.

As I understand it, there is a workaround where a USB>Audio adapter (About £7) can be used to output audio via 3.5mm jack which should then be fed to amp/soundbar/speakers etc.
Love this game, and have had in on 360 and the one, but recently got it on the pc and wouldn't go back as you can find most songs you want that aren't already available in the official DLC, and the best bit it isn't breaking any laws (provided you own the songs you download)

Oh wow. I didn't read the description, mainly due to me having the product. I want aware the Slim was sans optical. I can attest that playing on HDMI audio is generally really an awful experience.

Yeah. This is a great tool to aid you in learning to play the guitar. And it's a lot if fun as well.
Rocksmith 2014 was updated some time back and allows you to play in "Disconnected" mode, so acoustic or just traditionally amped players can also use the tool.

It just doesn't score you or read your input, however still very good for learning along with.

If you have a half decent computer the PC version is far superior

run that one by me again; I can legitimately get any song I own if I go buy the PC version? If so I'm sold and I'll chuck the PS version!
How much is the pc version?

What he means is that there is a custom scene. Not in any way legal, but UbiSoft don't go after these custom dlcs.

These are created by fans of the game. Don't assume every song is available. It's out there if someone has created it and put it out there. There are hundreds though. Only stuff that hasn't been released officially, so don't expect official dlc for free.

The quality of these cdlc's varies. Some are as good as official dlc, some are woeful. Some have no dynamic difficulty, so are extremely difficult unless you are already a very good guitarist.

There are also tools where you can go make your own.

If a custom track gets released officially, the custom is pulled. Helps keep on the good side of the software producers.

Have a search for Rocksmith cdlc to find the list. There is a huge cdlc catalogue out there.

BTW, this cable will work with the PC version, so you could get this for your PS4 and use the cable for your PC version. Steam has regular sales on Rocksmith and official dlc.

Everything that Hue says above. Have a YouTube search for CDLC rocksmith and there's videos of the custom songs being played.

Ah, thanks for the info.
I never had any issues on ps3 over HDMI? There are settings you can adjust. And any good tv should have a latency option. I used that to make my Wii u and pad sound sync better
It’s back on at this price I’ve just picked it up. Was nearly going to buy it for 55 on eBay
I’ve just reposted at this price and it’s been taken down! And re listed under the one that was posted last week
Can I ask a mod why my deal got merged to this one ? Where the same deal 2 weeks ago didn’t get merged
