ROGue??? (Only joking)
But seriously folks, here's another one with a £100 cashback: ao.com/pro…spx
Someone probably posted it earlier though...
I have no experience with the 1050 4gb i5 8gb ram combo but for a short time had a laptop with the 1060 6gb i7 8gb ram and it was struggling with modern games like Quake Champions at 1080p medium settings so I returned it as not fit for purpose.

Voted hot because this is a good deal for what you're getting but buyer beware - manage your expectations to avoid disappointment.

this would be the better option, with same size screen but upgraded vid card and includes the cashback

You will find it hard (and very expensive) to find a laptop that can run modern games at the highest settings at a consistent framerate, although I do not believe the gpu was at fault here, it will most likely be that your laptop had mobile dual core cpu.
7200U with dedicated graphics, exactly who or what is this aimed at? The U series are terrible in comparison to the HQ in everything except battery life

Apologies I was wrong, it was an i5 processor in the laptop I had (just looked it up):

Intel® Core™ i5-6300HQ processor
Windows 10 Home
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 graphics with 6 GB GDDR5 memory
128GB SSD
8 GB DDR4 RAM

I wasn't knocking any gaming laptop or this deal, just saying to manage expectations when buying a "gaming laptop" and expecting it to play games .

why does my pc w/ gtx 660 and i5-4690 run GTA 5 at 1080p high settings (not textures) then?
everything was good until you realise its not even an ssd drive

Witchcraft?

Can't answer that man, just giving my experience with a higher spec gaming laptop the other month, I'm pretty sure that it would have ran gta5 though which is what, 4 years old now? I'm talking modern games and specifically Quake Champions at 1080p on medium settings (if you read my original post).

I was disappointed with what I bought and thus returned it, my post was to more to give a bit of a reality check to someone thinking of buying this gaming laptop to play new games.

Good deal nevertheless if it meets your needs!
I wouldn't buy any sort of laptop especially a gaming one without an SSD drive for windows.
No SSD. Cheap a** Asus.
ROG is supposed to be the higher end of the spectrum yet there's no SSD. What a joke.

Cold, for specs/price.
This guy seems like works for Asus or something
