With all the price matching, I believe this is now the lowest price ever, with Amazon now the cheapest.

Roku supports Netflix, iPlayer, NowTV, Google Play TV/Movies, YouTube, Amazon Video, All4 and Channel 5's on demand service. Also Wuaki. That is a more complete service than any other family of boxes. The only meaningful service (to me anyway) that it seems to be missing is UK TV Play.

All the services work well and the box is FAST.

Also Currys, Hughes and Argos @ £39.99. Argos claims a Wuaki 3 film deal but they may all have that, I'm not sure.

I think Roku are finished in the UK. They've officially announced they have no plans to launch the Roku 4 in this country so I suspect support for UK channels may start to dwindle as time goes by.

No Roku 4 in the UK - official

I'm not sure I would read too much into that. The NowTV boxes have been selling like hot cakes, I assume due to a ridiculous level of subsidy from Sky, and there have been three generations of those already. It might well be down to a lack of developer resources. In addition, Roku have been able to hold their prices relatively high in the UK, I'm not seeing any signs of desperation.

Bought mine from Hughes today, same deal as Currys/Amazon with next day delivery for the same price.

Heat added.

I would hope that Roku aren't abandoning the UK. I'm not aware of any other box that offers the same breadth of services (although I think perhaps now that the Amazon box has improved it does). Not too worried about the Roku 4 - it's getting mixed reviews due to reports of noise and heat from the box... I'll stick with my silent Roku 3 for now.

The Amazon stick/box is a better proposition than it used to be, but so's Roku since they added Amazon. My FireTV stick is a nice device but it has always been very ropey as a Netflix player (weird freezing, Benny Hill speedups and/or juddery playback). Amazon also doesn't support Google Play Movies/TV (for your Google survey rewards etc.) or NowTV (Sky Atlantic/Fox). For me that rules it out as a sole device. If I had to keep only one I would choose my Roku 3, even over Chromecast (which doesn't support Amazon).

Roku have a ton of new products coming; I expect they are just judging that it's not critical to get a 4k offering into the UK all that quickly when Sky and Virgin barely have offerings and there's not a lot of content yet. If they're having problems with Roku 4, better to skip a generation here.

Managed to pick up a Roku 2 from Currys today for £37-99p

Well worth this price - great bit of kit - the one device I'd keep if I had to keep only one (also have two chromecasts and a fire stick).
