Yep. Spotted just a couple of hours ago in the Branksome store.
Great price. I managed to snag one of these on eBay even cheaper but was just a one off, don't think they are that cheap now.

Very good stick, impressive how fast and smooth it is and how effortlessly such a tiny device streams smooth 4K video. Even more impressive is that it can do it from the modest amount of power a USB port provides...
How good are these compared to a firestick? Have a firestick at yne moment. Just wondering cause looking to buy a TV for bedroom to make it smart TV(if it didn't have that functionality) use the firestick for the standard 5 channels. Maybe a couple of others like Netflix and Shudder. I don't have prime.

I think the Roku has the slight edge due to supporting a wider range of apps, most notably still having a native Youtube app and one for NOW TV. I actually went from the Fire TV box to the Roku stick over Youtube as I use it a lot and didn't like that you had to use the web version on the Fire TV box that couldn't do 4K Streaming...
Thanks for the reply. Hmm have seen these in my local Sainsbury's. Thing is in the bedroom all I want really this for catchup TV and the other apps possibly. Not interested in the 4k streaming as don't think the TV would be used much.. But the support of the wider apps is appealing..

If you are not bothered about 4K, get the cheaper Roku Express. It costs under £30 so a decent saving.
Excellent stick, performance is outstanding. I pick up this deal at Christmas and have had no regrets. I have the Roku 3 and 2 and this definitely has the edge on performance.

Very snappy menu selection and app navigation.

Didn't realise their was a another one. Thanks for the tip
I have two of these after a couple of Roku 3s - will play x265 files in Plex and much snappier. Also does 4k on IPlayer.

Highly recommended unless your wireless is poor and you need an ethernet connection or you want to play files off USB

So there is no computer transcoding of x265 on plex with this?

If you set to direct play then Plex will just hand the file to the stick with no transcoding.
2 left in Ipswich Hadleigh Road store last night if that helps anyone

Really, is there a big difference? As I just got a Roku 2 on the Amazon offer yesterday, mainly becuse of the ability to play files from USB.
We’ve just returned the Roku express. Terrible Wi-fi connection even when sat on the router or phone on personal hotspot.
Is it difficult to play files from a desktop with this?
Do these have an ethernet option?

Pretty sure you can't use ethernet (at least without some kind of adaptor as there is no ethernet port on it). One benefit of these though is they have a VERY strong wifi antenna, which is actually on the USB cable rather than the stick itself giving you a bit of positioning leeway and letting you get it out of the way of the TV a bit to minimise interference.

Still not the same as ethernet but I reckon you would have to be in a real wifi deadzone to not be able to use one of these...

Unfortunately not, you can cast to Roku though and use screen mirroring

Pretty much any of the stick based ones as long as your TV USB port puts out enough power.

But this is out of sight the roku express is a small box type thing? The only reason I'm asking is because I want a roku stick out of sight but don't want to pay the £59.

I believe Express is a stick, but if not the Roku Streaming Stick is one. That costs £29 so half the price of the 4K one

Look at picture number 8 especially. This is the Roku Express: cnet.com/pictures/roku-express-tiny-fast-capable-cheap/8/

I can't seem to find the normal Roku Streaming Stick HD at any UK retailers so maybe that's US only? Anyway, the Roku Express looks quite small, so it shouldn't stick out of the TV much
