39573744-Q87kX.jpg£52.99 from amazon so I don't get 4k but its for streaming prime and Netflix and screen mirror. It's my gym which is also my man cave 😁
Picked one up from Argos recently. So much better than the four year old Firestick it replaced. Great selection of apps, intuitive interface and very fast. Buy without hesitation.

Strange as it doesn’t have the volume controls down the side or isn’t the smaller version (although it is 4k) ?
Surely any 4K HDR TV already has the channels this offers?
This or Amazon 4k firestick

For me, Amazon, so you can sideload apps.

Not yet I looked yesterday, a month or so away I believe.
I have the Roku Express which is 1080p. Worth upgrading or are only a few services 4K? (eg. YouTube and Netflix). I know NowTV is still 720p but what about iPlayer, Amazon, All4 etc?
Very tempted, but already got a Shield and fire stick, so I’d probably only use it for Now TV. Reliable device for iptv services?

But all will do the same thing, right? Shield can get NowTV right? Just don’t know why i need another streaming stick...

Not necessarily - yes, you can sideload various apps, but not sure it’s easy to load a workable Now TV app onto a Shield. But you’re right, there comes a point where you’ve got a handful of different devices...

For a budget projector thats a nice picture. Nice one man
I've just returned the 4k stick I bought from Argos in black Fri deal. It was terrible in the end as screen just blinked on and off every second. I've read on net others also have this prob. Shame because picture was like 3d when I first started using it

My 4K roku stick remote eats batteries, need to remove them when not in use or batteries dead within a day or two.
Can you chromecast to this?

Thanks, I'm tempted. Am I right in saying the only difference between this and the 4K stick is support for dual-band WiFi? (arguably well worth the £10-15 price difference).
Better than a 4k firestick?
I’ve installed the usual apps on my Roku. Impressed so far.

YouTube, Plex , Netflix, Prime, ATV, iPlayer. Big feature for me is access to my Apple purchases without having to pay for the Apple TV which seems overpriced compared to the Roku 4K.

Any apps or channels that I’m missing out on?

This if you have Now TV, it’s a clean fast interface. No need to ‘sideload’ anything

If you're going to upgrade from the express then go for the 4k stick. The controller has volume control built in. I have an express in one room and the 4k stick in my main tv. Both are quite good, but I prefer having volume control in the same remote.

Has anyone used Plex on a Roku player for a long period of time? I'm just wondering how it has worked over time - have you had any problem with bad updates? Has it been snappy the whole time?

For 3 years I've been using Plex on the built-in app on my Samsung TV (a KS7000), and generally it works OK, but it's a bit slow, and updates often break certain things. And sometimes it starts displaying errors (e.g. pictures not displaying) and you have to restart to fix.

If Plex has been flawless on Roku for a long period then I'll give it a try.
Loved my Roku stick - until I changed broadband supplier to Sky. Can’t get the thing to connect any more. This is still a good deal though!
