Back down to this price again at Argos, if you have nectar points to spend, as I did when I got 2. Cracking piece of kit.

I’ve only got the Roku stick and it was a lifesaver at my dads recently during an extended stay as he only had Freeview. Within minutes had setup access to everything I have at home. Sky Go won’t screen mirror any more via their app, but wasn’t the devices fault.

For some balance I would give the Roku Streambar a 3 out of 5. We've had one for a couple of years now, mainly for the soundbar features. I find the sound ok but it still does not provide us with the clear voice experience we were hoping for. On a lot of movies it is still a bit muffled. Consequently we only use it for the occasional movie but still with subtitles.

Another annoying feature for us is there is no way to shut off the sound completely - we have to unplug it. So even with the ARC CECe hdmi port you can switch between internal and external speakers (we use an LG Oled), next time we turn the TV on we get the booming soundbar even though we have previously reverted back to internal speakers. Not sure if ours is defective or a design flaw.

I had nothing but trouble using arc on this with just the TV and ps5 attached, fortunately comes with an optical too but if that wasn't an option I would of had to return it

got 2 recently. Sound quality is very good for the dimension of the sound bar. Vocal is much clearer than coming out from the TV, so no need to turn it up as loud, with the added bonus of the bass too.

Is there a Streambar 2 coming? Dropping the price by 40% in multiple stores makes me think so.

(Not saying to avoid. I just bought a second one.)

Typical. Got this 2 weeks ago at a higher price from a no -Amazon seller as the old deal finished.
30 day returns, thinking of sending back and getting at this price.

Bought 2 from argos a few weeks ago for bedroom tv's. Don't think we'll use the roku services but they're good soundbars for the price.

Great soundbar voices are clearer compared to my lg b9 which does have decent speakers for a TV.

I find it best with the sound leveling and voice all turned off.

Can this be used only as a sound bar with the firestick?
    WhoLeftYouInCharge's avatar
    WhoLeftYouInCharge
Yes - as long as the HDMI port to which the soundbar is connected supports ARC (Audio Return Channel) or you use the optical cable to connect your TV and the soundbar. Even if your TV has ARC support, you might still need to go into the system menus and enable it (I know I had to do that on my LG TV). The HDMI port(s) on your TV should usually be clearly marked.

I would rather buy it from Amazon then argos. Argos has a bad returns policy. It's pointless. At least with amazon you can get a refund no question asked.
