I bought one if these from the Argos deal. You get 3 x movie purchases from Rakuten tv once you register the device.
I got this reduced over the weekend. I think it's pretty good. I choose it over the fire 4k stick.

+ Plex works well, auto refresh works for Plex and Amazon prime.
+Casting from the Android Plex app can be very useful.
+Interface is clean and fast.

-Roku recently disabled auto refresh rate changing from working with Netflix.
-No Kodi or BT TV.
Purchased 2weeks ago , very impressed for the price , also contains Apple TV app , brilliant device .
Just an update a work colleague been to store today. Although they do have £30 price and empty boxes on display for sale but he has been told that they don't have it in stock 😞 check it tomorrow if the offer is still there or perhaps False advertising

I bought one purely to get my google play movies in 5.1, works fine although has a massive hdmi handshake issue, have to turn on my amp, select roku input then turn tv off and on again to pick up picture from roku standby, very frustrating

Yeah tried everything, it’s only when waking from sleep, if plug in and boot up works fine.

apple tv, fire tv, PS4, Xbox one, switch no issues, even swapped inputs and cables.

from sleep either have to turn tv on or off or zone 2 on amp even though nothing’s connected to zone 2 it’s like just needs a nudge, plugged directly into mains, really weird one, just annoys me even though only a click. Just something in the turn on path, not had a handshake issue for years.

I found my Now TV box (rebranded Roku) was very crap at handshaking with HDMI.... something so fundamentally simple like not have a power button on the remote to turn off the Roku meant you had to rely on it turning itself off after a period of time when the TV was turned off. How in this day and age they can't make it conform to basic HDMI CEC controls seems bizaare.
Since a recent Roku system update, I don't seem to be able to cast from a OnePlus phone to the Roku Stick.

Has anybody else witnessed the same issue with another brand of phone? I'd like to establish whether the cause behind this feature withdrawal is due to the Roku update or a OnePlus Oxygen OS recent update (Android10 beta 31. Worked fine with all previous OS updates, including beta 30 which was also Android10).

Answers, gratefully received.
