Thought these would be great for younger kids - we bought the traffic light set they had for a nephew & he loves playing on his trike / ride ons in the garden with it - so cute to see his little legs scooting him along & then come to a stop when the lights were red

Going to buy these too for his birthday next month

Police Christmas Party Fund Accumulator Camera "Safety Camera"
Wtf
Never to early to start teaching your kids how to burn these down.
Teach them young how the government uses the motorist as a cash cow.
Hopefully it comes with a radial tyre and a litre of petrol to place around said camera and ignite?
Teaching kids that cameras that monitor their behaviour to ensure compliance, is "fun" \o/

This is how people sleepwalk into a dystopian future.
We totally deserve the EU, we really do...

Talk about getting your kids to grow up way too early.
Whats wrong with them having innocent imaginative play?

I say this, but if my 7 yr old son saw this in a shop he would probably want it !!

Nonsense, why does the drivers' right to break the speed limit trump my right to not be run over / suffer noise pollution / air pollution. The current situation is pretty dystopian if you view it from a different perspective.
But, it's a pretty rubbish kids toy, all said

You misunderstood my point, I wasn't complaining about speed cameras, I was taking issue with the wider concept of automatic monitoring to control behaviour and acclimatising children to that concept. When really the solution is just to behave in a cooperative fashion in the first place.

That's the meaning of dystopian, taking away people's free will, and in terms of Huxley's novel, conditioning children to cooperate with the State.

That said, speed cameras do absolutely nothing to aid your right to not be run over / suffer noise pollution / air pollution, unless you live solely in the 50m space right in front of one.

I don't think you understand what dystopian means, it has nothing to do with free will, and why you are referencing a work of fiction from the 1930s to support your point I don't know.

Maybe you should read The Handmaid’s Tale then, because the loss of free will was the central theme.
Likewise childhood conditioning was a central theme of Brave New World.

I get it, you are butthurt over misunderstanding my post and now you want to argue over what you think my words mean, move on eh?
