Rolex submariner date green £5445 @ Peplow Jewellers

40
Found 8th Feb 2015
Spotted on peplows jewellers
They used to be a authorised dealer but are selling stock off.
Normally 6050 brand new and they have these for 5445

Normally there is no discount on stainless steel sports so this is a good buy if you're in the market for one

Good one.... lol !!

There's no Quidco either!

the 10 Euro Rollex I bagged in Spain last year is far superior

Yes it is the 116610 LV hulk edition...

Rolexs are in investment. Will only go up in value. This is a bargain and easy way to make some cash.

i don't think there is likely to be much of an uplift on this watch, its been out since 2010 and still hovers around this price second hand. It is a very good buy however as they rarely get discounted new.

Heat from me. I like the green on rolexes, Just can't justify buying any more watches

If this was actually Limited as they made out, it would be a good investment but its seems its not as limited as most would like

Cheers, have bought one.

I wonder how many people would like it if it wasnt for the name tag. It looks horid as do most Rolex.

Hot!! Perfect valentines present for him...

oos

Not Apple watch. Cold.

out of stock

Just to let you know when I bought my black one about a year and a half ago I paid Less than this...my experience with watches is you can generally haggle a good deal at the jewellers.

Very true. When I was looking for a nice watch, I was offered 10% off just for "working in Canary Wharf"
It's offered 33% off the US RRP (about ⅓ less than the UK RRP) in NYC a while back too. Of course there are tax implications in this instance, but how you deal with that is down to you...

Just when I was about to order

Don't hate it just because you cannot afford it.

High-end watches are never popular on here. A deal is a deal. Heat given just for the principle.

So many negative comments from those who simply can't afford it, and so knock it X) The price is excellent btw.

Having said that, I've never liked the look of the Hulk. And yes, many of the Rolex models are rather ugly and tacky. But those tend to be the blingy hyper expensive diamond studded ones for the middle Eastern customer.

And yes, they can be an investment. And certainly can be an heirloom.

Some Rolex watches are stunningly beautiful, and extremely well made, with amazing movements.

For example, my Cosmograph Daytona.

Obviously you don't know anything about high end watches! I actually mind a profit when selling a planet ocean years ago..... Just as omega increased their prices to try and compete with Rolex! It was the right time. Some watches are rare and collectable so demand for them increases their value.... Simply economics really.

Does that include servicing costs?
That seems to be what some people on here say pushes the price above what you get back from initial price and 5? year servicing.
Serious question BTW

Clearly you know less about high end watches than he does. Asanovic is correct this is not an easy way to make some cash. This is an off the shelf sub and is not a collectors item, it's not even a particularly high end watch. Unless this goes out of production or they change something, then the rate of appreciation is extremely low and that factors on it being looked after/never worn/fully serviced and at roughly £350-£500 per service. Then you are looking years and years before you even look at a price that resembles a small profit.

As a Rolex collector this is utter nonsense. Never buy a watch as an investment.

There seems a lot of Rolex enthusiasts on here, so where would a girl go to buy her first (and only!) Rolex?
I have been looking at pre owned but the prices are the same as new?

The great thing about owning a real rolex is that when the zombie apocalypse happesn, you will be able to tell the time right up to its next service... very comforting

Gone back up now, I was tempted at that price as well.

Subs don't increase in price they just don't depreciate as quick as some other watch brands. The only way that your sub will increase in value is if future prices go up which does happen.

If you are travelling outside of the EU from Heathrow T5 then pop into to the Rolex boutique by Mapp and Web. The black submariner without date is £4166 and with date £4756.
