Rolls of turf B&Q 50p

£0.50B&Q Deals

Found 15th Jun 2015
Just like the title says. 3 pallets of turf sitting outside the Bexhill store tonight with a big "Clearance 50p" sign in front of them.

May just be a local deal, but worth giving your local B& Q a call to see if they have some too.

Great deal, just perfect timing for someone!

Even better if they have some left close to closing time and its on clearance offer them 10p per roll and they might sell it for that as its costs them to dump it once it starts steaming and dying.

Great deal and 50p cheaper than what i posted at teatime at Homebase X)

Yeh! .. I thought the 'Post' looked a wee bit familiar ..... lol. :-)

will check my local tomorrow, thanks

Great tipI will tell my accountant

Thanks for the post. Now I am in a quandary. I am just about to re roof the shed or refelt the shed and have thought about going green. In Scandinavian countries some houses turf their roof which is a very good insulator.
Trouble is I am not sure if the shed will take the weight ?

how will you mow it?

This is a regular offer if they have any left a day or so before the next turf delivery and last time I was in my local one they had a sign showing when next delivery was due so you could chance popping up late to day before.

get a goat or a sheep that will sort it for uuuu

I asked in my local b&q a couple of years ago about this, they get turf deliveries on Tues and Sat so anything left over on Mon and Fri gets reduced. iv had quite a lot but only on a Friday night

Clearly a great price, I've found shed turf really poor quality in the past.

that'll do for the lounge !

Starts? I bet this is half dead already lol

hahahahahah

That's a lot cheaper than the last time I asked about the price of grass. Bloke on the street corner quoted me a tenner for just a bag full

Most b&q stores will reduce now... same time every week...
As more delivers come on a Friday, so clearing old stock

Who even has a lawn these days. Just do it properly and get AstroTurf or even better concrete/Tarmac over and you never need to worry about mowing the lawn again.

Me !!! There is nothing to beat a real lawn in your back garden.

picked up 7 rolls of the stuff last night for 50p each in Apsley/Hemel branch

couldn't agree more! I made the mistake of buying turf from B&Q and it was a big mistake!!!

Please note that the Bexhill store have now sold out and any further stock will be around £3.36 a roll.

You laugh, but just off the A66 is a Farm Shop with a turf roof and usually 2 or 3 Soay sheep up there to keep it trim!

I had to turf a few sqare meters at the end of my existing (seed laid) lawn. I was really suprised how well it's taken and after a couple of months it's looking better than my existing lawn. Perhaps it's variable quality based on supplier, but I would certainly use again!

Wow, only 50p for a roll of the green stuff... oO

Those are some fat blunts...

Wow, your garden must be horrible.

Just went to my local (berrrrrminham) deal guan there as well

Please keep away from this Meadow Grass, I brought it years ago, it constantly needs cutting all year round, and looks horrible, pay the extra and buy quality, I wish i had been given this advice.

B&Q usually sells stuff that has been in the ground 3 or 4 months rather than the proper stuff thats been in for at least a year....It has that horrible mesh that holds it all together as there's no roots...Trying digging through that..

Picked up 20 rolls, not sure what I am going to do with it yet - I live in a flat - but I just couldn't resist at this price.

In my local store (Lisburn) it comes in Tuesday and Monday at 11am. So if you head over its normal £1 from £3.39. Went to day to get some, the other week I got 20 rolls of the £3.39 stuff. Was never to sure of the older stuff, it's been there from the last delivery not getting sun or water, have checked it before it's gets yellow, but always wondered if it's still any good

Yes, it'll come back even if its its yellow or brown...the only danger is that it'll shrink as it dries out, so you'll need to patch it once its bound to the ground...You ideally need to water it for a couple of days...Prepping the ground is the most important part...Get a landscape rake for the best finish

get some proper grass you bunch of tinkers

+1

Go to a local supplier...You know where its from, it'll be more compatible with your soil, so it'll take quicker (that's if you don't use topsoil), and it'll be fresh...and they wont use netting to attempt to bond grass clumps together..

That's what I was worried about becoming weak. I have been water the stuff I bought last week twice a day for the last week and it's turned out great. Had ordered of a local guy but he never showed and never returned a call. So his lost. Also it's cheaper to buy in store than getting 40 rolls of there site

All of those options are terrible to be barefoot on.
