I actually have this from way back - it's actually quite useful to split wood, but more as a wedge than an axe (jam the axe in then bash the back of it with another log). It's not heavy enough to actually chop stuff direct, but once sharpened up it holds an edge better than I thought it would.

Not sure I'd really recommend it though - unless you're really in need of an axe but having to save every last gram I'd get a proper small hatchet instead.
