Was looking for flooring for a multigym setup in my garage and came across this - seems to be half the price of anywhere else, and gets great reviews to boot!

Reserved mine in the Preston branch.

The Rolson 6 Piece Floor Mat Set is ideal for workshop and garage use, but will also come in handy around the house and outdoors. The mats will protect floors and prevent slipping, as well as absorbing the shock associated with working on concrete.

cold? just because its been around for nearly 12 months. you're mad. they are great mats at a great price. bought mine to work under my motorhome to stop the fold on my back. they are the cheapest & best. you can wash them easily too.
great for the grandkids indoors besides many other uses.

Not a deal, over a year ago they were 5 quid per pack, and even now they are 10 quid almost every day. COLD

fyi I've bought a bunch of these. The price is pretty much consistent. Bare in mind these arn't that thick, nor provide that much protection on the floor if you start dropping weights on it. They are quite good for keeping your feet warm if you originally had concrete floors which is a nice touch.

If you want it for a gym, look at stable mats on ebay. Usually 20 quid for a thick mat 6x4 foot

got them in Costco for £12.99 2 years ago and they are great. good quality, easy to clean and still look new after 2 years. Don't forget quidco

I have this same Rolson mat set as a simple gym mat.

Pros:

It's cheap

Cons:

On laminate floor you will slide around like a fool, quite dangerous as well
Stinks of rubber, very noticeable in the house

I don't recommend for using as a gym mat in the house unless you can bear the weird rubber smell and definitely don't use it on a laminate or shiny wood floor.

To all those voting cold, could you please show me a better price on this item anywhere at this particular time. Prices are volatile on many products - I was simply pointing out a good price on a particular item in the here and now.

This was super hot on a previous deal which wasn't as good (had to buy 2 sets), and when the price was £5 there seemed to be no stock anywhere. When I picked up mine from Halfords in Preston they seemed to have plenty of stock on the shelves.

Just hope this helps someone out.

Cheers

And you get 8 mats instead of 6 FYI

i voted cold simply because, this is now halfords normal price, so hardly a deal.

not bothered looking. but i have known for several months i could walk into any halfords and pick these up for £10. so where is the deal

Hot UK deals is about deals

Not about slashed price products

I'm voting hit as it's awesome

this site should be renamed hot uk quality given how everyone comments on the quality of any given deals product.

Who cares if a stable mat is better or worse - nobody asked that - the 'deal' is for the brand of product on offer, if somebody wanted stable mats they would have searched for 'stable mats' and never found this deal anyway.

This is for garage floor mats made by rolson and sold by halfords at a given price. IF you think you can find the same brand and size at a better price then vote cold or don't vote. If you can't and you feel compelled to vote then vote hot as its a good deal for that brand of product - regardless if you think they are great or pants !
Its a bit like the apple deals that get voted cold by the pc fans... thats NOT the point of the site IMHO.

This constant drift in focus of the site is what makes it less attractive then it once was.

Sorry - rant over and I'll get my coat and await the 'flak'

The deal is you can buy it for £10 at Halfords, whereas everywhere else (AFAIK) it's double the price.

Where is the question mark?

A deal is only a deal if you know about it. Just because you were aware of this item at this price does not mean everyone else was. Until I started hunting around on Amazon I certainly didn't know, and it was only by chance reading an Amazon review that I was pointed in the direction of Halfords to buy them at half the price.

Same item @ 50% reduction in price to any other retailer = HOT DEAL imo

5 second search on here and it shows at same price, you didnt look that hard then

Hot, I bought 9 sets of these at the end of last summer. I had relevelled my garage floor and wanted a nice surface to work on my bikes. I have multiple motorbikes in there and i just use something to spread the weight of any stands. They wont stand up to petrol but are cheap enough to replace.
They come with edge bits which is very useful.
Easy to cut with a straight edge and blade.
Would cost over 4x the price to cover same area with pvc tiles.

6x3m garage cost £90 to cover with a few spares.

I'm sure many will find this useful. I found it useful last time it was posted. Ignore the stupid comments OP,

Haters gonna hate*

You are missing the point I feel. Until I started to browse amazon for different flooring which could be used for my home gym setup I didn't even know this product existed - therefore a '5 second search on here' wasn't really possible.

In terms of this deal being posted previously - this happens all the time to let other members know when a retailer has stock of an item again or just simply to bring it to others attention to help them out.

Next time you are aware of a product which is half the price of all other retailers I suggest you share it on here as you can see from the heat the deal has generated, the general consensus is that this constitutes a 'deal'.

I disagree
I love the reviews on here, better than amazon and you can get questions answered quicker and better. I didn't know what a 'stable mat' was so I'm glad for the alternative suggestion. Fact is, if I come to this thread I am considering making the purchase, and it's really useful to see other suggestions and comments on the quality. I'll happily give feedback on items I have direct experience with, to help others. I also love the random chatter, the level of activity on this site is what makes it so good.
But I do agree with you 'voting cold because Apple' etc. is lame, people should vote because it is/n't a good price FOR THE PRODUCT.

Just picked 4 packs up
Great timing op just want I was looking for

12 packs for my double garage at £8 a pop with a trade card, £144 saving over Amazon - brilliant deal, thanks op!
