A good game but very annoying that way rebellions break out left right and center regardless of how many social development you make or how long you have colonized the land. Very predictable in the end.

bargain!
thank you

Upwards of a hundred hours of quality gaming for a quid-if I didnt already have it I'd be all over this.

Shame it crashes badly on Windows 7.

unfortunately not no, you'll need to go to Steam's website and download the client, make an account if required and purchase it either through the application or web browser. It then attaches to your account so to speak, not giving you any key.

Buy it as a gift and put it in your inventory.

Great Price and great strategy game with a turn-based campaign and real-time battles. Do the missions ordered by the Roman Senate and look after your generals is good basic advice. .

This can go in my inventory as one of my brother's mini xmas presents. =]

Great game. Heat added.

Btw I can't pay with paypal. Says there has been a problem, but other than steam paypal works just fine. Anyone having trouble with paypal too?

Morning edit: Paypal works fine now.

Great price,

Although how come we have to pay more than the US ($1) and Europe (€1)..... Maybe Cameron can bring up this issue at the g8

Prices are mega screwed up, any new or old titles I want I've got a friend who lives in Russia who buys them for me as a gift and sends them over via the trade window, saved an absolute fortune doing this!

Wow, nearly bought this the other day for £7!

Glad I waited.

According to the front page of the Guardian he has been made aware of the issue and it is now at the very top of his list.

Can we play this multiplayer? I remember it was a lot of fun. Watch out the elephants!

Not played it in ages, but if I remember rightly if you move your capital closer to the middle of your area every 3 or 4 areas you capture it helps out a lot.
Otherwise you get a lot of rebellions on the far cities/towns due to the distance to capital modifier.

Great game, not played it in ages. Worth £1 just to have it on Steam.

So close to the heat wave badge I can smell it...Keep voting people lol!

Just brilliant !

I think this is the one with the easter egg Amazon village somewhere in Russia.

.. and yeah rebellions it was station lots of troops, move the capital reduce taxes etc.

Awesome game, very easy as one of the Roman factions but well worth £7 let alone £1!!!

fantastic game, always used to crash on my at a certain point though.

As others have said, move your capital and control population by creating and stationing large militia units in the cities.
Also, it took me over 100 hours of gameplay to learn that the generals' advisers may be transferred between generals. This way all the civic type advisers may be transferred to Generals used to quell cities and the military ones may be used for your conquest generals.
Hot hot hot for £1

Looking forward to learning how to play this game properly, instead of highlighting all my units and clicking attack

There are also some good mods for this game like 'Europa Barbarorum' '

was a big fan of shogun 2 + exp, never managed to get into any previous TW game (including Medieval).

Worth taking a punt or just waiting for Rome 2?

op i think i just set your deal on fire. congrats!

193/200 lol. Nearly there!

another steam game cheap thank you

Can you fight allied in groups with friends vs other groups ie 3 vs 3?

Fantastic game, got it when it first came out, spent many last nights playing it.
It came out for XP but should also be compatible with Vista and Windows 7 as I have played it on all three. Haven't put it on my windows 8 computer so can't help with that.
£1 is an absolute bargain, well worth buying if you're thinking about getting Rome 2.

Rome TW & Medieval 2 TW were the peak of the franchise IMHO.

The combat engine used for the latter games (Empire onwards) never felt 'right' for me.

Fingers crossed that Rome 2 brings back the feeling of the original.

Can't even complete the tutorial on my Win 7 (64) setup without it crashing. Looking on Google and the Steam forum and it looks like it's a common issue. Bought the disk version on release and never remember if crashing at all on XP. Absolute bargain for 100 pence though if your PC will run it.

Nice deal, thanks OP!

Heat added. Not sure if i will ever play this but for a squid, it might come handy on a rainy day.
