Never heard of this brand, and this isn't the kind of item you want to be skimping on. It's worth an extra £10-15 for something legit...

These unknown powerbanks often have nowhere near their supposed capacity, and can even harm your phone's battery or cause a fire.

I have the Xiaomi 20,000mAh one and it's been top quality;

Bit more expensive and "lower" capacity, but I know I can trust Xiaomi quality. Anker ones are reasonably priced on Amazon as well.

Agreed, Often these dont come with a great warranty either.
They are just a newer brand than Anker or RAVPower but selling the same sort of thing. They just need a good bit of PR to get the ball rolling I’d say.
Looks like it uses Highstar 18650's. Gigantic unit, wouldn't want to be around it if it went south!!
Looks like the naysayers are out again ... They were when I posted a power bank deal over 2 years ago (hotukdeals.com/dea…682) .... It still runs fine, not exploded or burned the house down and will still charge my phone a number of times!

They are quite big on Amazon these days and if you actually see their products, the quality is high - the plastics used are decent quality (not cheap/shiny), there is a good weight to them and capacity is what you'd expect. I have the 26800mAh USB PD pack and it's very well made with low heat output during charging. But, personally, I would only buy from the UK (which is what I did).

Also a 30000mAh power bank is over the 100Wh airplane limit.
Probably the last power-bank we'll ever need...should power smartphone and portable monitor for quite a few hours
£15.25 using a fee free card and new user coupon.

Just put a full stop in your email address and it gets recognised as a new one for setting up a new account, but it goes to the same email.

Has anyone ever had their power banks Wh checked when boarding a plane?
I have a ROMOSS power bank and have had it for around 2 years now. It's been charged 3-4 times per week and is still going strong. Nothing but good things to report about it. I would buy this if I was in the market for a new one.

Why even risk it? 30000mAh x 3.7V = 111WHr. If they X-ray and seize it, that’s the end of it.

Not really a random brand, just one that you haven't heard of. They are decent quality and despite what you think, won't blow up.

How will they work out the wattage by x-raying it?

Because it’s a hulking lump of dense plastic and metal that will show up so they might at least query what it actually is. Besides, why would you risk either losing it or a potential fine? I’m sure when the Note 7 was banned they couldn’t detect that by X-ray either...

Disagree all you want, I always research the things I post and only post them if I consider them a good deal. As you say I am staff so I have lots of choice.

I don’t really understand why you think I am trying to scam you or anyone else.

Being staff doesn't mean you have more choice, but it does mean you can say what you want with impunity!

When did I say anything about scamming?

I'm not sure how you can personally guarantee that a power bank won't develop a dangerous fault....

You post negative comments on my deals, accusing them of being junk or faulty or liable to develop a “dangerous fault”. Any product could develop a fault, regardless of which company made it.

I am just trying to help people out with deals and because I am staff you assume that I am on the payroll of these companies. If it isn’t a good deal I ask for a lower price, or deny it altogether.

I don’t post without research or say what I want, I abide by the rules of hotukdeals like anyone else as I am a member of the community too.

Maybe scam is the wrong word, let’s say deceive instead. I am not trying to deceive you, my aim is to get good and cheap products on the forum.

Someone appears to be VERY defensive and has a persecution problem!

I've posted on this deal and one other, voicing my opinion. I have a right to do so as I have made no personal comments and the comment's have been "on topic". The other deal in question is not up for debate in this thread as it would take it "off topic" .

Just ignore it, there's some angry people out there with nothing better to do than look for online arguments! I think the heat this achieved is self explanatory!

Thank you for posting.
Anyone got it yet?
