Lots of the reviews suggest this is a typical Ronseal product which needs you to buy twice as much as it claims, peels off quickly and needs to be repainted every year.

Yup (annoyingly) need to reapply every year. Stuck with it now though. No way I would be paying £40 a tin for it which is why £14 is a great price if u need it.

what alternatives are there though? this isn't a stain or oil it has a specific purpose and thats to make crappy decking look good for a while

If only people would lay decking boards the correct way with ridges underneath then sanding would be the answer.

We are also stuck with this, looks great after painting but it only lasts the summer so a repaint required each year.
