This is a good price but I'm a little reluctant to try the Ronseal paint again. A couple of years ago, I painted the fence panels at the end of the garden in a brown paint - the panels are still brown. However, for the new panels on the side of the garden, the brown paint disappeared really quickly - within a couple of months - these panels now look as if they have never ever been painted - not one trace of brown paint on them! I was looking at using the Cuprinol Ducksback paint this year - has anybody had any experience of this paint - does it last well? Thank you.

In 2016 I used this paint with the cheapest electric sprayer I could find on amazon at the time, fence was untreated so it needed 2 coats, I think I used 3 tubs on mine which is roughly 30m including both sides. I used this sprayer below which made things easier, hardest thing is refilling it a funnel would be recommended but I used cardboard. 2 years and the coats still going strong ill probably top it up in next couple years.

Any idea how long this sale is on for?
Can anybody suggest what type of paint I would need to use on a wooden gate that is made of smooth wood? For the Cuprinol make it says it can only be used on rough sawn wood. I wanted to paint the front fence and the front gate in a matching black paint, but don't think this paint would be suitable. Any ideas please? Thank you.

Ducksback is great! I've used it on my shed and fence, it has a wax like finish so water just beads off. Only need one coat aswell, I used one tin for 10 fence panels and a 6 foot shed last year, still looks perfect 11 months on

Ducksback is one of the best stains so it there garden shades as well. I dont like Ronseal I have had two many bad experinces with there products even got some of there grey coloured garden stain last year cheap, it was like coloured water and didnt last
That's not a bad price as it's not very often you get a decent deal at B&Q most of their stock is usually overpriced, the only down side to it is they don't have any stock nearby, so it would have to be delivered, with delivery charges you'd be cheaper going elsewhere.
Thank you for this post
Cheers, hot added.

Now i need deal for spray gun thingy

You don't. We bought a load of fence panels with a stain we loved. The neighbour used one of those 'spray gun thingy's'. He sprayed it green. It trickled through our side ruining our new fence & splattered our new decking. Neighbour replaced the decking but we had to re stain the fence our side, but we just could not get the original colour we loved again. :-(
This one is just AWFUL! Don't waste your time with this.. It will BARELY last you 6months before it fades away and you have to do all the work again and again..... Don't support these companies by purchasing this utter junk..
Same as really all other '''fence stains'' , Pay a bit more and get an ACTUAL WOOD PAINT, actually you won't really have to pay much more as the consumption will easily be 5-10x less than painting with that colored water!

I still don't understand why people keep buying this junk, do you actually Enjoy ''repainting'' at least once a year for it to look decent?

Yes, I noticed that Argos sell it, but it is black that I want and they don't have that colour. Thank you anyway.
If I paint my fence with Ducksback (black), can somebody advise me what paint I would use to paint the adjoining picket gate and the garden side gate - both of these gates are made of smooth wood, not rough wood but obviously I want the colour to all match up? Thank you.

Part of my original front garden fence was painted blue and the rest was a new unpainted fence. After I had painted the whole fence, the bits with a blue undercoat were a deeper shade of brown than the brown on the unpainted parts. Do you think that the Cuprinol in black will cover well over the brown - just wondering if the panels that are currently a darker shade of brown than the rest, will still look darker than the other panels even if black is used? Any ideas on this please? Thank you.
Just received a call from North Shields store, a lass saying they've no stock. I said fine, keep my money and ring me when you do. She puts me on hold for 5 mins, comes back and says we can't keep the order open, we'll refund and you place the order in a few days as they'll have stock then.

Aye, when the price has gone up.

Stuff them.
They also have same paint on offer for 12 litres £8
