This Les Originales Rotary watch is a classic remake of the 1950's Ocean Avenger. A stainless steel case contrasts superbly with the black leather strap and black bezel. The orange hands are highlighted on the black dial, to finish this exceptional watch. This watch is Water Resistan

They are badly copying the original Planet Ocean design;[Image]

Or they're not...
37190555-ixOKI.jpgas it says above it's a reissue of a 50s (rotary website say 60s) original. Maybe they're all badly copying the original Blancpain Fifty Fathoms?

The font used above 6 o'clock kills it for me, what is it, Ariel!?

I
Ahh yes, but that's not the super-duper Swiss made version, that's just your average run-of-the-mill, common-as-muck, 99.9% identical Chinese made version.
I guess it depends if the buyer thinks having 'Swiss Made' on the dial makes it worth the extra tenner.

Looks like a nice enough homage to more expensive watches, slap it on a NATO strap and it will look pretty tasty.

In case anyone is wondering about the 'waterproof' moniker, from the Rotary website:
Waterproof
"Rotary watches marked 'Waterproof' on the case back have been upgraded to offer a specification meaning that you and your watch can swim and dive all day. Waterproof watches are suitable for: Swimming, shallow diving, yachting, all water sports (excluding scuba diving) and showering."

Where? I am seeing £99 list, which with pay15 is £84.15.

I tried adding another 10% code for signing up to the newsletter (which did bring it down to c£75) but it then told me I couldn't use both codes at once.

That older Rotary doesn't have the weird 6, which is what was being discussed...

The fonts are completely different, I like it on the omega, the rotary looks like times new roman
37191327-01Cwz.jpgFor such an expensive watch you would think they could have put the 8 in the right place :P
Nice watch, great price, heat added.
Damn, it, two watches in two days (having bought a Seiko 5 automatic SNXS79K1 from Creation for £55, on Sunday).

I'm hoping these purchases are going to kill (or at least mute for a while) my growing hankering for a "proper watch".
I’ve picked one up. Ordered from hsjohnson but via their eBay page instead. I put in a best offer and they accepted and I also had nectar points to use so win win 😁 Cheers Vizta

Only got them down to £75. I did go in at £70 but settled in the middle. I’m happy with that
