So I got this exact watch delivered Tuesday from Argos ebay it was £64. 99 delivered, I just hadn't got round to posting it. I sized it yesterday(removed 2 links) and its been on my wrist since then.
The watch is excellent quality easily on par with Tissot. I also have another les original ( longines grand classique homage) another great quality watch for peanuts.
So I'll list the some of the specs and details.
Swiss made, Swiss movement Ronda 5030.
Convex sapphire crystal
Dolphin waterproof, screwdown crown, screwdown case back.
Chronograph, secs, 1/10s, mins(30). Sub sec hand.
The chrono pushers are decorated and the crown has the Rotary logo on it.
Quality bracelet with push button clasp, the outer links are brushed and the inner polished.
Looks much better in the flesh.

Some of the negatives.
No AR coating on the crystal which is a pity because it does show.
The op has put lifetime guarantee but I think its 12 months Argos guarantee, card not stamped.
The outer cardboard box has a label over it saying, "opened and examined", which damaged the outer box when removed.
If the watch had been examined why was the chrono hand 7 secs out. I can think of 2 reasons for this, some one has played with the chrono and upset it, this is unlikely as it would take quite a few moves to do this. I think the more likely reason is that they have fitted a new battery and not known how to zero the chrono, anyway I've done this myself and all is fine. I haven't had much time to test the lume.

The watch itself wears well, its 40mm which is slightly small by todays standards but looks better for it, sort of more elegant. The weight of the watch also feels good, its certainly no cheap lightweight.
Bottom line, best watch deal of the year IMHO deserves to be red hot.

I know its discontinued but damn it did sell at £499
Ordered!! Thanks
Yup, Les Originales are their higher end watches. Swiss made with a Rhonda movement. I own the same watch with the black dial. Beautiful watch and insanely cheap for what you get. Sapphire crystal by the way

I paid 60 quid for the leather strap version about 6 months ago in Argos so great price for metal strap. Not often that you find a watch with sapphire crystal for this price
Never been £499
They also have the black and silver version for a fiver more
Do you have the link for the black and silver one, thanks.
Not sure how I feel at 500gbp... that's certina, tissot and Hamilton territory of which the later every horologist should have in their collection.
For 50gbp bargin to have for its qualities at that price bracket.
Well. I couldn’t resist. I have just bought it, so now I own the back dial and silver dial 🙈

I have seen it in stores at the £500 RRP but Personally, I wouldn’t pay £500. Around the £300 mark is acceptable imo
Only the OP silver dial one is showing on their page, not the black dial unfortunately
I have just ordered one. Good deal!
Order accepted but all gone now! Wonder if I'll get it ?!?
It s out of stock..
The ironic thing is i sent the link to someone to buy me it as a Christmas present and they delayed and I've missed out ..lol
Great find, was too late but nice looking watch.
Silver face and leather strap still available for £5.00 more
Sorry look like I took the last one

Same with the chrono hand on mine which arrived today. My only concern is if an untrained tech replaced the battery will the waterproofing have been compromised ?

It looks like mine was not a one off then, to be honest I suspected this would be the case, Argos ebay have an history of this. The watches are probably old stock and this is the reason for the exceptionally cheap selling price The watches water res will probably be ok but that can not be guaranteed because at the price they sold these at there is no way they will have had them pressure tested.
I change all my own batteries and keep my watches away from water, never had a problem. If you're really concerned you could pay for a pressure test about £30, the watch would still represent excellent value for money or you could just chance it, odds are you will get away with it.
