I want one but no idea what I'd use it for

Exactly, I bought a Dremel for laughs a while back, drilled a few holes in my wooden desk at home for no well explained reason then returned it

Yet I'm considering buying another one anyway
Save on dentist fees too. Bargain.
Eye protection is essential. Discs can be purchased cheaply in bulk. I have a maplin yellow one that has served me well a few times in the last few years. It has an analogue speed control.

Last time I used it to cut up a 5mm copper rod into sections. I am glad I had 3D glasses to wear!

Is accessories compatible with dremel?
Cam this be used on toenails?
This would be a great price for a corded model. For a cordless, this is a fantastic deal.

Get some good cutting discs.

I was cutting basic plastic on my motorbike with this, the disc exploded and put a good nick in my safety glasses. I assume every single part supplied with it is just as bad.

this can happen with the very best discs. all it takes is a tiny bit of shear force (not cutting perfectly perpendicular) to shatter

should go without saying you should be using glasses + mask with this is grinding/cutting

Interested to know this too!

Looks the same as Lidl’s Parkside model. Has a design flaw. The spindle lock, to release the Chuck is secured against plastic. The first time you tighten the Chuck a smidgen too much, you’ll never loosen it again.
I dismantled mine to check and the spindle lock plate, sheared through the plastic housing.
Pointless product

Me too, and I already have a corded one

Actually, I got mine for scale modelling but the spin speed is way too high and the chuck is slightly off center so not accurate enough for that.

Thats a shame. Could always take it back but at £17 its almost not worth the hassle...

Please let me know what other tool(s) costing £16.99 will let me do all that it does or more? Serious question...

I had the Parkside one too. As it was Li-Ion I thought the battery would last a while. Did it eck! Was good for nothing about a 12 months later. Wouldn't hold a charge, and getting hold of a replacement battery cost as much as the drill itself.

You got instructions? I wasn't so lucky with mine. Will have to count out 16 or 25 discs to find out which ones are the cutting or sanding discs

I assume they are both in the cylinder tube holder, some cutting discs are brown or silver so can't be sure till I look again. I assume the cutting discs are prone to shatter
