Roundup kills weeds from the inside out, meaning the roots are destroyed as well as the leaves to prevent regrowth. Use it on paths, patios, driveways and flower beds to remove unwanted vegetation and leave your garden looking neat and weed-free.

This is an expensive way of buying it, buy half a litre of concentrated and a 5l pump sprayer for around a tenner each and you'll get 5 times the coverage and a better sprayer you can use for years to come bringing the cost down more each time.

Whether you believe the not completely proven cancer stories or not is up to you, nearly everything is considered carcinogenic in some way or other nowadays, this is unpleasant stuff so be careful with it.

If you roast them they'll come back, heat them until they start to deform and it should kill the roots too over a week or two.
look at this way, if you invest once and then next time you can save the it as sprayer for future!

I think one report claimed there was a link, and hundreds of others said there wasn't, so of course everyone believes there is. At the end of the day, its a chemical that's designed to kill stuff, just be careful and wear PPE. Its 100 times safer than weedkillers from the past.

Was that one report the multi billion dollar lawsuit that Monsanto lost?

You are better off buying the glysophate concentrate and spray in a hand pump sprayer. The mix ratio can be adjusted to suit your condition. Really settled in weed need some strong stuff.

Glysophate kills everything tho! Including grass.

I just sprayed about 1L of the stuff in my drive way 2 days ago. Some of the weeds are yellowing and dying already.

Yeah but the cases in the US are typically judged by a jury who are emotionally manipulated rather than on proven scientific fact. And don't get me wrong I can understand why as a direct cause is very difficult to prove scientifically and I don't think monsanto have necessarily behaved in a transparent way. As I have said before the professional glysophate concentrate seems to kill the weeds over a few weeks whereas these off the shelf variants do seem to work in a few days, hence they are a different formulation and its not clear if all these variants have been tested. What is slightly more worrying is how much of this ends up in the food we eat and what the long term effect that has.

Anyway here is what I said on the last roundup deal and its defo killed the stuff I sprayed it on 2 - 3 weeks ago .....

Yeah I think 5l was about £26 delivered and now its about £30. If my maths serves me right that's about 50 x 5l diluted quantities! So that's about 60p per diluted 5l plus the cost of a reusable sprayer which can be had for between £5 to £10.

It just won't be as fast acting as this. I also mix a bit of washing up liquid in with it as i read that it helps to stick to the leaves.

Edit : Also here is a channel from youtube I watch where the lawyer whose channel it is interviews his old mate who just happens to be the lawyer who won against monsanto. This is a very smug bro affair, made slightly worse by his mate looking directly at the camera. iirc he does mention the tricks he uses to get the jury on his side and emotionally manipulate them. Also bear in mind that his lawyer who won has now effectively "retired" in that due to the sums involved in this case, even after appeals will reduce them down, his fees will effectively allow him to retire after this especially as they are likely to take on similar clients. This is the most disappointing video the channel has produced and is normally much better than this.

Just look for glyphosate 360gl (grams litre) that's the most concentrated you are likely to find. I've seen some called concentrated which are only 90gl, ie 1/4 the strength.

Depends how big an area you want to do, a 2l one hand held one will set you back £3 at the supers, B&M, Home Bargains etc. For a 5l one with lance, goes from £6.99 at Home Bargains up to £20 odd for a Hozelock. Best compromise I found was a tenner for a Rolsen branded one at B&M which gets you the better quality one with big filling spout, steel lance and two heads, one specifically for this type of thing. That one is usually about £15 everywhere else.
