Royal Canin buy one get one fee

Slightly high on the unit price of the stuff we buy but still saves us £4+ per packet

Voted cold. Despite the price this is very poor quality pet food and most of the money goes towards marketing it as a premium food.

Pets at Home own brand (which is also on BOGOF) is far better.

My dog would disagree.

In fact he told me to tell you that you should try it some time yourself & taste the difference.

can anyone recomend a dog food that makes them less farty?
atm my dogs are on the pets at home own brand but their farts stink!!! have tried charcoal biscuits but they dont seem to be helping
thanks

Re: fartyness. It seems to be that fish based food helps our dog with this.

Barking Heads is a good brand that makes a Salmon food. Pets at Home Wainwrights isn't a bad food either.

thanks for that will give it a go!!
i have a weak stomach and i spend half the day retching
atm he is on the chicken flavour pets at home own brand for large breeds
my shih tzu farts too but they are less potent and dont seem to linger
thanks

Agree - and also voted cold.

I would disagree that it is poor quality dog food. I puppy walk guide dogs for the blind, and they ALWAYS give their dogs the best...whatever the cost....and they use Royal Canin. I have just got a new puppy, and after extensive research they have decided not to use the Baby Dog food, but put the new pups straight on to the Junior, as it is lower in calories, and as such prevents obesity in later life.
Never had any problems with farting either.

Can't comment on the Royal Canin dog food, but Barking Heads is a very good shout for better food for your dog, though a bit too expensive for me (around £35). For something a little cheaper, if you can buy online, I'd recommend trying Skinners Field and Trial dog food at roughly £20-£25 (15kg bag).

For me it's the best balance I can find between price and quality. They do a Salmon & Rice one that may help with the smelly dog! I contacted them via their website (skinnerspetfoods.co.uk) and they sent me a sample of the Salmon food to try on my dog and have now started feeding him it all the time.

But as you know nothing & are just chucking your toys out of the pram from another thread I guess you can safely be ignored.

You might want to also pass the information on to the breeders who swear by the stuff.

Ah I see, your one of these posters who cry when someone doesnt like your deal lol

I voted it cold - this is what the deal section is about - vote hot or cold and I chose to vote cold with good reasons. You really need to toughen up you know and go blow your nose.

It's not worth believing that guide dogs are fed the best. They are fed sponsored food and the manufacturers pay for the privelidge of being linked to them.

dogfoodanalysis.com/dog…ws/ is a good source of reviews.

If you want the very best dog food, you need to look for Orijen (http://www.orijenpetfoods.co.uk/) (55kg for 13.5kg). It's expensive but you will need to feed half the amount of Royal Canin.

Speaking of Guide Dogs

You need to learn how to read.

I personally do not give a sh1te what you say. You are in the closet labeled "nutter"

Why do you think people are bothered about your rubbish?

That is just evidence of mental illness.

You seem to know a lot about mental illness - get well soon.

If you dont like people who vote your deals cold - then dont post them

YouDontWantToKnow and bossyboots both should realise being rude or an idiot does not make someone mentally ill. As someone who is mentally ill I take offense to you suggesting such. I also think you should have a read of the Time to Change website and stop being so stigmatising. I'd link it but am writing on my mobile.

As for the food, the reasons breeders use it is because they get discounts for introducing new dog owners to the brand. Same goes for the sponsorship of guide dogs food.

We use Arden Grange's large breed premium chicken and their white fish sensitive food for our dog. She likes a mixture. Get them from berriewood wholesale. Best value and most popular did we've tried. Her normally non-shedding coat falls out and skin flakes on most other feeds. These are both grain free.

This site is mad sometimes, I posted this the last time it was on and it got to about 200 degrees. And no one called people names or were insulting. It is a deal site, people can vote either way as they choose, but nobody has mentioned where else it can be bought cheaper, so I assume if you feed your dog/cat Royal Canin then this is a good deal.
Was gonna post a good deal on Wotsits but scared of all the people who prefer Quavers voting it cold!!!!
