Christmas letters to Santa

Dear boys and girls,

Christmas is a very exciting but busy time for me: the elves are making toys, the reindeer are practising their sleigh runs, and I'm busy preparing my list of who’s been good this year.
I need to let the elves know what to make so to help me out, please let me know what you would like as early as possible.
I will be getting my sleigh ready for the long journey on Christmas Eve and inbetween I will try to reply to as many of you as possible. To make sure I receive your letters, please could you send them to:

Santa/Father Christmas,
Santa’s Grotto,
Reindeerland,
XM4 5HQ

It’s really important that you write the address carefully on a stamped envelope, and that you include your full name and address so I can write back to you.

Please send your letters to me by the 6th December so I have time to reply.
Looking forward to delivering your presents on Christmas Eve. Make sure you remember my mince pie and Rudolph’s carrot!

Be good!
Merry Christmas to you all!
From
Father Christmas

Do it a bit cheaper using a 2nd class stamp for 54p!

That's because reindeerland is not Royal Mail a country that the Royal Mail manage the post for

These are good but if you have more than one child might be worth sending in both children's names as we have had times when only one letter is returned.
Original Poster
this has been running for years ~ and as much as I can remember this is the same post code.

The info is on Royal Mails website, ~ follow the link for full information. Probably just a post code either made up for kids or for a general sorting pile at Royal Mail

XM4 5HQ translated text talk is Christmas HQ!?

highly doubt its a scam advertised upon their own website X)
lol its no scam i think it would still work if u didn't put a stamp on as i never did as a kid and just wrote to Santa or even writing reindeer land should get it there u Know Santa's very clever just make sure u Right ur reply address thats the main thing

It's not a scam but do you really think "Reindeerland" exists?

It's simply a fake address that Royal Mail have in their system which will redirect the mail to some fat ass in the Royal Mail office

Santa is just doing some outsourcing.

When did Royal Fail start charging for this? This used to always be free.

Its not a charge you have to pay, its the cost of the postage to send the letter I think
Why would I spend 63p for a generic thing like this, I could do it myself for free, hey kid write your list I will send it to father Christmas, on xmas day leave a note with the presents and dont forget to point him out in the sky on xmas eve when the iss passes, I believe its passing on the correct day this year, my kid loved it last year.

Wouldn't be so bad if it was freepost with a minimum £1 donation to charity but this is just a way to sell more over priced stamps.

That's right. Father Christmas. I think photos of Santa's personalised Royal Mail uniform have to have the Royal Mail logo photoshopped out for contractual reasons.

That "Fat Ass" you refer to, is the very esteemed Saint Nicholas III ..... Show some respect or you'll end up on his naughty list!

He has to have a day job remember

Love this!
It's quite a sweet thing when it pops through the door. Yes of course you can do it yourself but my time is worth more than 63p so I'd rather let Royal Mail do it & walk the young one to the post box to send it & wait for it to arrive. This is a nice alternative to all these companies charging £2-£5 for a similar service.

Thanks for the heads up with the address.

Won't take long for it too catch up with other services costs with the speed of the Royal Fail price hikes.

Steady now. There's a lot of fat asses at Royal Mail!!
I'm confused. If u send the letter do you get a reply?

Without doubt (IMHO), the best Christmas message your child can receive!
You fill out the details, enter the childs name and listen to Santa repeat it, upload pictures if you wish, even customise the message for your child
We have been using this for years and it's magical to see your childrens face when you play the message to them from Santa.
Go onto the website and register your interest and they email you a link when its up and running

theres also a NORAD powered website where you can track Santa and his sleigh as he delivers around the world
great for getting them into bed Christmas eve!

Probably because some kids get excited over writing the letter and putting it in the postbox.

As said, not if you're naughty.
Or if Santa loses it.
Or you forget to put a stamp on it, because Santa works to tight margins and can't afford to pay the excess postage.
Send one to pere noel instead for free, practice your french.
Should read
..Royal Mail letter to the bin.
It's a made up address for our kids dear Santa letters and some people in Royal Mail kindly reads the letters and replys to keep the Christmas magic alive for our kids it's a lovely idea we've written to santa before xx waiting till your children get a letters through the post it's priceless!

People who thinks the postcode thing is a scam, guess you're new. Welcome to HUKD.
Would have Santa could have found a more competitor provider by now, with the volume of letters he handles.....

Yes
Dear Santa,
For Christmas all I wish for is for you to return sending a simple letter to a reasonable price. Just sending this one has used all my pocket money. :-(
