Try FX4B6E for free delivery if it doesn't come up

I used to work for the BoE, and was regularly given new tender notes when they was issued. This stuff from the mint are worth collecting as they 'normally' will hold their value on limited edition runs..

Have some heat my friend..

can you use these coins in shops?

They are legal tender...but good luck ;o)

"Normaly hold there value".....in twenty years time or how ever long you want £5 will still be worth £5...its legal tender...it may increse as its a collectors coin but it wont decrease below its original value

Inflation?

£5 might be worth £5 in 20 years time, but it'll probably cost a fiver to by a can of drink by then. I just hope we don't adopt the euro, in which case £5 will be worth nothing.

That depends on what your planning on purchasing and how you want to view it, but from a bank note point of view, you'll be amazed at what collectors will pay for certain cypher numbers...if these coins are a limited run it may be worth a shout...

Well most 'proper' collectors will have bought these ages ago in gold/silver etc, which makes far more sense as rare earth metal prices continue to rocket, these are more for your average joe to feel 'part of the Olympics' Still excellent deal

As a taxpayer if I don't buy this I guess I'd just be paying for everyone elses' postage (_;)

Winner.

Use your Points/Airmiles/Cashback credit card to buy loads of coins, get the points or whatever and then pay the coins back into the bank and use to pay off credit card bill. Rinse and repeat.

Voted hot, by the way.

Interesting idea. Do we know whether banks will take these readily in large amounts?
