An RX 5700 is a better GPU.
It's priced in par with the 2060s but performance wise is the 2070

Reference version is £300 ish
The ones with aftermarket coolers are £330-390

Actually you can get the custom XFX 5700 on Amazon for £303. Its not the best of the partner cards but its better than reference and on the 5700 it is ok, plus if you remove the 2 plastic trim pieces it pretty much solves most of its "issues".

It's DD Ultra I'm pretty sure.
Just dont buy XFX RX 5700 and XT's.

Too many problems that come out of the box.
Unless you know how to solve the "issues". It's not worth it

They're no worse than reference for the most part, but yes the DD ultra which is more or less the same as the Thicc bar the name.

In any case its still more performance than a vanilla 2060 and 8GB vram instead of 6 so definitely a viable alternative.

What do you mean remove two plastic trim pieces to solve issues?

There's a couple of plastic pieces on the top and end that essentially restrict airflow thus increasing temps, removing them sees around a 5c drop I believe.

But 5c isn't making that much difference. Surely it works either way?
Why is this Hot? A RX 5700 will blow this over and over for the same price. And if someone wants this for RTX this is the worst performing RTX card. You can easily forget RTX gaming at 1440p. And there are more RTX cards on the market than there are games that use RTX. Absolutely no point getting this.

It's enough to sustain higher boost clocks and a little less noise. Is it absolutely necessary? Nah, but some people prefer to get the most out of it thats all.

Regardless for almost the same price it is the better buy for 1440p gaming.
Avoid these little cards... noisy and hot

Possibly due to form factor? Although it looks like this card occupies 3 PCI-e slots *shrugs*
What's the recommended PSU for this? I'm sure my rig has a 550w bronze rated not sure if it's enough

That will be plenty, I'm pretty sure the recommended is 450w
I’ve been advised to get an nvidia card if I want to play games at 1080p and stream to twitch due to the specific architecture of the cards.

However, everything I read says the 5700/5700XT are superior cards! (For example in comparison to the 2060 which is on today too for the same price)

I’m confused!
