I’m in the market for a 2060S - could you recommend one?

I have the Gaming X. Got it on Ebay with a code for £340. Cooler on it is top notch.
seems a bit expensive when the 10-15% faster 5700xt is around the same price

A lot of talk that the nvidia cards are better for streaming?

The market is over due on AMD's navi 12 & 14 release. And with black friday around the corner, price's will be everywhere. I'd wait for black friday.

If you need a Nvidia card right now for go a 1660 super for around £200, it performs almost as well as the 1660ti (£260)

Why not pay a bit more for a FE 2070S?

I’m happy to hold out until Black Friday. I’m building my first gaming pc with a plan to do some streaming. Have picked up a few parts and leaving the gpu until Black Friday seems like a good idea. Thanks!

In that case. Leave as much as you can for BF as you can.

There's a group on reddit called r/buildapc

Fantastic for advise and part recommendation for new builders

What resolution and refresh is your new build monitor?

Yeah I recently found the subreddit - it’s great!

I have a bog standard Philips e-line 1080p monitor - I’ll probably have to upgrade at some stage too.

I’ll hold fire on buying anything else until Black Friday!!

Bit more? You mean £120 more? Then again, why didn't I just sell one of my kids and get a 2080ti?
Recent asus cards are terrible quality on top of being overpriced. Best to avoid.

The few reviews I've read so far has lamented on the poor fan design on that model. I'm happy to be proved wrong though!

Windforce is a pretty tried and tested set up and review on Proclockers of it says max temp of about 70c averaging about 66c and stays pretty silent so not bad at all really.

I did see that review, shame there's not many more out there. I've done a bit more digging now.

Real life users tend to moan more so I won't take too much stock of those.

However, this review is quite detailed and has a good section on the flaws of this model (take note that review both 2 and 3 fan version).

If their data is true then it is a little disconcerting that 100% fan speed gives relatively poor cooling. It's all within operating parameters but that must be quite loud!

It is factory over clocked though so likely to run a tad higher than a stock model.

I have a reference 5700xt so i'm not adverse to higher than usual temp"

Well that definitely fits the bill for HotUKDeals!

I shall definitely consider the gigabyte model, thanks.
