Was just thinking the same thing! What is it about this site?
Handy if you're planning on flushing all the crud out of the central heating radiators when it gets a little warmer.
    Never assemble furniture without one.
These are crap. The head broke off after doing some light work... on the wife's head. Seriously though I bought one last week and it broke.
Sams 99p shop usually stock rubber mallets.

There's a man with a mullet going mad with a mallet in Millets
I got something that looked very similar off amazon a few months back and it wasn't made of rubber when it turned up. Just a pretty hard plastic resin molded in the place of the black rubber, with some sort of weight in it. It seems more like a plastic hammer to me, the material doesn't have the elasticity to really protect the item you are using it on.

Good price but do keep in mind the construction of these ones are weak, the handle can snap at the rubber. I learnt that the hard way
    Rubber mallet? Didn't touch her!
11p more at Poundland if more convenient for you.
I'll buy one for my Sutcliffe rehab classes...

Never come across a stubborn wooden peg that refused to go in when building from a flat pack?

I used mines to tap in dowels and knock the panels together, less risk of damage etc

Nope never. Built tens of furniture from IKEA and Argos. I do have strong fingers and hands though.
