Just an ordinary price.

Online price for rump steak is showing dearer on the site - as 11.48 /kg for me, it is the
"Sainsbury's Beef Rump Steak 544g Promo"
that is showing as £9.19 /kg

Asda smartprice is £7.68 /kg:

If you go instore there is a sticker on the packs with ONLY £5, not per KG per pack

I think the con with this is the pack and 544g promo. Its not a kilo, which when lots of other supermarkets are throwing around £5.00 a kilo for rump joints etc this seems expensive.

I think Asda still have rump joints at £5.00 a kilo, and at this price I generally buy a joint cut my own steaks and it works out around 2/3rds of the price of this.

Making it not so quite a hot deal for me..

And yes before people comment I appreciate meat quality varies from shop to shop. I have found that it is literally shop to shop not just asda to sainburys to tesco. Have had kack meat from all 3 and more but at 5 quid a kilo if its kack it goes in a stew and still almost as cheap as stewing steak

I am not interested in advertising stickers, they are there to mislead.

What interests me when buying anything is the price per kilo.

Well, we have all done this too, even with those tough-as old-boots "roasting joints" that all the supermarkets sell silverside & topside as; trouble is, it just isn't a patch for taste as a proper stewing or braising cut, but at least it stops it being wasted.
