I have this machine and use mainly for cappucino or latte which I got from studio24 for 49.99 a few months ago on offer. I ve had a delonghi and a Morphy Richards before and this, although noisy, is far the best. The crema frother doesn't discharge the inital water into the milk ie straight to steam unlike the others. Also you can get a tall mug under it ie normal mug, the others max height was 9cm ie a cup. it also has a pure hot water jet function so if you've run out of espresso coffee you can put it on, put some emergency instant in a mug, jet of hot and mix and continue to froth milk as normal and make a reasonable cappuccino. Hot.

There are lots of negative reviews for this model on the Argos site, particularly with regards to the milk frother and the fact that the cup vibrates off the plate when you set it off.

I may be being cynical here but if something is selling well they don't usually discount it and so if it isn't selling well you gotta ask yourself why. This is not true in all cases of course otherwise this excellent site wouldn't be so popular.

I prefer to ignore reviews by people stupid enough to shop at Argos in the first place...
The reviews on Amazon are mostly good, certainly better than a few others I've seen.

'Stupid' is a bit harsh, especially since many, many posts on HKUD come from that store. Bear in mind that it is aggressive pricing policies by businesses like Argos that forces other businesses to be competitive also and whether you like it or not their posted reviews are informative. Also, you'd do well to refrain using derogative terms, it's contrary to the cooperative ethos of this site and discourages people from contributing.
