Was this price back in September when I bought mine.

Keep in mind that the polished stainless finish will need daily polishing, as it highlights every fingerprint and watermark. The metal base is not any sturdier than the plastic one of the old Russell Hobs kettle it replaced (broken lid opening mechanism). If you are left handed/have a single kitchen sink to the left of the water tap the fill meter will be on the wrong side. Some other kettles have them on both sides or in the grip, which makes it much easier to read.
Other than that it does work very well and looks much nicer/fancier than my old brushed steel one. It boils 2 cups of water super quick and is not excessively noisy. However personally I would not buy this kettle again, but instead get a cheaper Russell Hobbs model without the fancy light ring and metal base.

Russell hobs are always cheap nasty and over priced try another brand youll be much happier
