Russell Hobbs 50L Kitchen Sensor Bin Grey, White, Black or Red £12.99 @ Argos (Free R+C)

Rubbish deal but worth it. Available in Grey, White, Black or Red. Limited availability. I guess this was £49.99 originally

This Russell Hobbs sensor bin provides a more hygienic waste disposal option than your normal kitchen bin. The sensor opens the bin lid automatically so you don't need to touch anything, while the 50L capacity is comfortably large enough for families. Sensor requires 2x AA batteries.

Experience the thrill of being an animal 'Trapper' from the future
by placing a tasty morsel of food inside the bin and laying it down long-ways in your back garden, with the top protruding slightly from the shrubs.
Next, flatten and fold the box that came with the bin into a small screen, cut out a long horizontal eye slit, and hide behind it at the opposite end of the garden, watching through binoculars.

Sooner or later some unsuspecting and curious 'wild game' such as a hedgehog or neighbour's cat will come along, and as they investigate, the mysterious looking hi tech silver cylinder will open, allowing them to claim the treat.
Once inside, the door will close gently behind them with a satisfying electronic bleep, trapping the animal securely but safely inside.

Depending on what type of Trapper from the future you are, you may then observe the animal up close, release it back into the wild, or eat it.

How can something as mundane as shopping for a bin be so exciting? Cannot wait for my Fast Track delivery. Thanks @iliveinuk

O.o.s.
Amazon reviews put me off. Apparently it often tears bin bags when emptying and the sensor is very erratic. I'll pass.
Good discount though
Of course we now have to have 3 bins in the kitchen to do the recycling correctly and would really want a sensor on the food waste caddy size bin - do they do small sensor bins?
It's like a scene from the pink panther movie's when Peter seller's get surprised by Cato, when I walk pass one of these bins. oO
How big are these and what's the weight like I live 10mins away from Argos and I haven't got a car is this going to be heavy to carry home thanks

It weighs very little but the box is massive.
My sis has one of these Russell Hobbs sensor bins...think the batteries wore out quite quickly as she'd only had it a few weeks and it was dud last time I tried it, but she's very happy with it otherwise.

Just this second ordered a grey one.

Cheers OP
Thought I'd got a good deal at £23.99 recently! Luckily out of stock around near me though which makes me feel slightly better
Only the unwanted red color available
The modern world who'd live in it I ask you. Oh me and you lot that's who. Cheap enough for a bin and I am fat and lazy so this bin seems ideal.

Also I'm going to see if I can get my cat to sit on the lid, then watch him fly through the air, could make me some £$ on Youtube.
