That looks just like a Japanese rice cooker but for that price i doubt it has fuzzy logic.

Alternatively, put rice and water in saucepan, place on hob and cook for approx 12 minutes, saving 13 minutes and £38.70...
Ahh.... the Russell Hobbs Creations Multi Cooker 5L. Robocop used to have one, never used it, and decided to use it as his head while fighting crime in Detroit.

Perfect if you have a hob. We don't so this is an ideal solution until a replacement cooker is purchased. Nice find OP, heat added
The whole cooking rice on a hob thing is largely just down to technique and measures.

Bit like chopping an onion finely, once you know what you're doing all you need is a sharp knife. Amazing how many people don't know how to chop onions finely when the info is available with a quick google search.

All I'm saying is don't buy this thing if you only doingso to avoid learning how to cook rice on a hob. You can do that in less time than it would take for you to buy this bloody thing.

Good find! Looking to buy one for ages treated mom to one

I doubt that without fuzzy logic its just a pot with a timer and set heat setting very limited in what it can achieve.

I still keep thinking of buying a rice cooker.....a proper one not the ones they sell here they are pointless, i have a friend with a £200 Japanese one.
ordered thanks OP
Looks great but what does it do?................Apart from rice which I'll take the guy aboves advice and boil it. :-)

You can slow cook for convenience, roast joints of meat, steam healthy vegetables or fish, cook perfect rice, create nutritious oatmeal porridge and even bake bread and cakes.

Also cook stews, curries, pasta dishes like spag bol etc.

The rice and porridge functions are probably stated as an added bonus function. Although I suppose it is useful if you need to make large amounts of porridge for a family. Personally I like using a microwave rice cooker for cooking rice. Takes 9 minutes for basmati rice.

Of course things can be cooked in ovens and on hobs. Slow cookers can be useful to some people.

I'll raise the stakes...

Buy Uncle Bens rice, stick it in the microwave for 2 mins, saving 23 mins and £38.70 X)
you guys need to show some respect to rice and rice cooking!
Do you have ANY idea how expensive a proper Japanese rice cooker could be ?!

between 500 to 1200 pounds for high end Tiger cooker.

and you are comparing with microwave and saucepan? Seriously?

you guys need to go to Japanese restaurant to try some sushi with properly cooked Japanese rice.
Sorry did they say it was just a rice cooker? No dont think so, so the smart rsd comments above arent really relative. Good price, gets good reviews does multiple things, also a 24hr timer so good for working people to get proper food in front of their kids as oppose to processed muck - so why slate the offering? And finally Uncle Bens microwave rice - really ? Happy to pay a premium for that but then moan about the price of this? Hotukdeals full of happy go lucky people !

I highly recommend the 7 in 1 "Instant Pot", considerable more than this offer though.

If you want the best BBQ ribs - fall off the bone follow this recipe:

Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce available at Iceland.

Best ribs I have ever tasted.

Thanks for the recipe link. I may try making it in this Creations multi cooker. Got to wait for it to be delivered first though before experimenting This item isn't a pressure cooker but can still do a lot of the functions of the Instant Pot.

Yoghurt making in it could be worth a try too.

Rice cookers do more then just rice, they cook all kinds of things, my friends one can do cakes and bread. This thing does actually look and sound like a low grade version of a Japanese rice cooker, but as i said no fuzzy logic

I didn't realise this item wasn't a pressure cooker.
I think pressure is the key to the fall off the bone BBQ ribs recipe link.
Ready in 30 mins.
Comparing rice from a proper rice cooker to rice cook in a pan over stove X)
Rice has been cooked beautifully for centuries without a rice cooker. Besides rice cooked in a rice cooker, absorbs the extra calories from the rice water, which can instead be consumed on something else lip smackingly delicious!

Cooking rice it might seem like a mundane activity that it's not worth investing in. But with a rice cooker you just put the rice and water in and set it off. When it's finished you can just leave it and a "keep warm" function kicks in. Also, you if you leave it long enough the bottom of the rice goes a lovely crispy texture. Nearly everyone who eats rice as their main staple and has access to electricity will own a rice cooker.

30 mins seems rather quick as cooking with a pressure cooker does speed things up. It will just take a lot longer to cook in a non pressurised device to get the fall off the bone. Man vs Food usually has those massive bbq places cooking ribs which fall of the bone. Many featured restaurants cook their ribs for several hours, even a day or two.

Add a block of butter

Nah, butter is too healthy due to the benefits of butyric acid.

Adding hydrogenated fat - then you are talking unhealthy

Hi

If you have an "Instant Pot" and follow this recipe youtu.be/LYx…zmA , I guarantee you won't go wrong.
30 mins fall off the bone.

Also tried whole chicken in 25 mins youtu.be/bfJ…yuw , fantastic results.

Only had the "Instant Pot" a few weeks and swear by it. It has a huge USA following and facebook, youtube presence.
